    Today is National Unity Day

31st October is being celebrated as National Unity day from the year 2014. There were almost 565 self-governing princely states in India and the then Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister of India Sardar Patel pursued each and every one of these states and merged them in the country and achieved national integrity. As a recognition for his contributions, Mahatma Gandhi called Patel as Iron Man of India. Because of his efforts, only India got united and became a strong country. That is why his birthday is being celebrated as Nation Unity Day.
On this National Unity Day let us take the pledge that we all will forget our differences and work unitedly for the cause of the country. I wish all the members of ISC a happy National Unity Day.

I take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy National Unity Day. It is very true that Sardar Patel was instrumental in bringing all the small princely states under one umbrella of democratic republic of India and today we are living in a united country and enjoying all the benefits of real freedom. No country can make a progress or develop until there is unity of thoughts in it. We may have different religion or ideologies but when it comes to the nation we are all Indians and India is our place of dwelling and it is the duty of the citizens of a country to protect their dwelling place and save their brethren. Our religion is our personal matter and it should in no case should come in between the national interests and other matters of national interests and then only we will achieve true unity. I wish and hope that most of the Indians know this and that is the reason why India is progressing and coming up on the global canvas.
    Knowledge is power.

Finally, with this day and the statue of unity installed now Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel has started to receive the kind of recognition and respect he always deserved but remained hidden in a few chapters of history books and a few lines of competitive Exams. But Now even common villagers who have never gone to school knows him. His amazing contribution to the unification of the nation can never be forgotten, and the way he acted with both calmness and aggression during the whole process in accordance with the situation and a great leader will always be a source of inspiration for young minds of the country.
This thread is a nice tribute to the iron man of the nation. Lastly Happy National Unity day.

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel has made a big contribution in creating the integrity and unity of the country which is commendable. Sardar Patel always tried that all the parts of the country i.e. the people of all the states should live together as citizens of the country with unity. It is a fortunate celebration to celebrate this day as Ekta Diwas on this special occasion of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birthday.

In the memory of Sardar Patel, also known as the Bismarck of India, while saluting him, we all promise ourselves that we will also contribute to maintaining the integrity and unity of the country.

On this day not only India even the world yearn for unity among the people and no hatred feelings. By being in Unity the achievement and progress is formidable and by divide we fall to the disgrace. While no one wants confrontation and face off, but one bad person in the society is enough to ignite the hatred and that would spread like the wild fire. We are all educated and draw our wisdom through the great studies that fellow citizens are also human beings and we need to respect each one and deserve the respect in return. And those who have the niche to carry on everyone with them must open up and come with open arms so that sweeping changes can be seen in the behavior of those who were drifting from normal living. Let the children also understand that unity is the big requirement at the need of the hour our life.
