Do we really need Covid pills at this stage when we crossed 113 cr vaccination successfully?

Many big pharma companies across the world are spending on their huge research to make formidable virus pills and thus too much time has been wasted and now the international license to have agreement with other pharma manufacturers are being allowed across the globe when India has successfully administered more than 113 cr vaccines and probably we may not require the covid pills being ready now. Had this was made available long back India would have completed full vaccination including the children. Do we really need Covid pills at this stage when we crossed 113 cr vaccination successfully?

Vaccination will never ensure you 100% protection from the virus. Chances of viruses attacking a person are there even though the particular person is vaccinated. But severity may be less and chances of death are also less. But to get it cured the person has to use medicines for this virus.
We all heard some instances where the person who had two doses of vaccination also getting tested positive. Such people should use the medicines for the virus.
My sister's brother in law and his wife took two doses of the vaccine. But both of them got affected by this COVID. He recovered well after using medicines. But his wife couldn't. So it is not right to say we don't require any medicines that are required for treating Corona patients. They are required and they are to be made and should be available in the market.

It all depends on body immunity in accepting any medicine for that matter.
