Stupidity is more dangerous enemy of the good than malice.

This is a quote by Dietrich Bonhoeffer. He was a German and anti-Nazi dissident. Malice means a desire to harm another person. Stupidity does not necessarily mean intellectual deficiency. The characteristic of a stupid person is not to listen to reason. They even deny authentic data and say others do not know anything. Hitler became a dictator because of the people who stupidly believed in all the false propaganda.

"The power of one needs the stupidity of the other". People who are influenced by false propaganda, allow themselves to be made stupid. Such people can be misused to do evil as they are under a spell. They can be used to do any evil without understanding the consequences of what they are doing. In world history, we see that there were dictators who brainwash people with false propaganda and made them do evil to society. Hitler was one such person.

One may have faith in one person or leader. Nothing wrong with believing a person or leader. It should not blind faith. One should have the wisdom and courage to point out faults in the thinking or decisions of the leader. Then only a democratic country will progress on sound lines.

We cannot generalize that those who are not liked by us can be branded as stupid because the thought process are different and everyone has their own choice and preference to interpret anything through their own mind. By the way there is no question of blind faith. When a leader exists and does some extraordinary work, the mass would be great following him and that cannot be stopped by those who missed during their tenure. And when the leader does good things why should we draw courage and wisdom to find fault. In democracy no leader can exist without popular support and when the leader gains more support through the decisions and acts, the people regain more faith on him. One thing is sure those who are denied of their progress would always finds fault with those who are progressing and making headlines. And this post would be pinned and awarded.

A stupid thinks that he is only right and never listen to the reason. I agree with the author that one should not have blind faith in any person, family or party.
Many people will have a favourite actor and they always think that their favourite actor is the best actor and blindly follow him. In the same way, they join a party and follow that party only without understanding the merits and demerits of the party or the person. This is stupidity only. One should think and decide what is the best way for that particular issue instead of going by his faith. The support can be on the basis of the issue and how it is being handled. But that is not happening in present-day society.
A stupid can also be an intelligent man but he will never use his intelligence in the right direction. His thinking will be with a positive attitude towards the person or family or party he likes. That is the main reason for the present-day status of this country. People should come out of that stupidity and should be able to call a spade, a spade. Then only we will see progress in our lives.

My response was to your last para observation and thus there is no misunderstanding or my response was out of context. And if the response was positive from other author that was his observation.

The response does not match the content in the last paragraph. My last paragraph is very clear.

Stupid people do not harm any one, their acts only make us feel sorry for them. But, people who are disdainful are to be kept at our arm's length because they always plot and plan to put us in trouble and spread rumours about us for small matters.
For example,a stupid person's talks are laughed at and people do not take them seriously . However ,a shrewd perso say something , people do listen to him are her attentively and rebuke others.

The author has dealt with a right topic that stupidity can bring forth more harm than producing a favourable impact in the society. This is especially true for the politicians influencing the administration with some regulations without the consideration of its influence on its implementation. They are not questionable since they are in the powers in framing such rules but their stupidity would cause us to a different way. They are the people having their different concepts in some points and as such their decisions would not go smoothly for others. They would not listen to your points so that there could be possibility of modifications of their own choices. In other way, we can draw a conclusion that they are the most insensitive persons in realising the woos of others and sometimes they are happy with their own stupid thoughts.

There should not be blind faith. We call ourselves superior creatures on this planet because we have intelligence and act after considering many things. When we are applying intelligence we think logically, when we have blind faith we act based on our emotions that has no logic. Sometimes, these acts are really stupid and we must be cautious. We can analyze things only when we know the facts. If we do not listen to what others are saying or what is going around we fail to completely analyze the situation and our acts become incoherent. As long as we do not use our wisdom we will remain influenced by others. The political atmosphere in our country is quite complex. On one hand, there is indecisiveness and on the other there is corruption. In general, many are averse to the behaviour of the politicians but surprisingly a large section is influenced by religion, caste and creed while electing a candidate. It must be an informed decision and not an influenced decision. Otherwise, it will be difficult to alter the situation.

Stupid is a harsh word but there are unfortunately many stupid people living on this planet and they are making the lives of some other people comfortable who know as how to exploit the stupids. It is said that gullible and stupids are cousins and they in fact look alike in that matter. Many leaders and high level people were benefited by the stupid people because the beauty of stupid people was that if they had faith and belief in something then it was very difficult to convince them otherwise. It is also said that it is better to have a wise and intelligent enemy rather than having a stupid friend as a stupid friend will be a continuous source of inconvenience and discomfort for a person.
