Stupidity is more dangerous enemy of the good than malice. This is a quote by Dietrich Bonhoeffer. He was a German and anti-Nazi dissident. Malice means a desire to harm another person. Stupidity does not necessarily mean intellectual deficiency. The characteristic of a stupid person is not to listen to reason. They even deny authentic data and say others do not know anything. Hitler became a dictator because of the people who stupidly believed in all the false propaganda.
"The power of one needs the stupidity of the other". People who are influenced by false propaganda, allow themselves to be made stupid. Such people can be misused to do evil as they are under a spell. They can be used to do any evil without understanding the consequences of what they are doing. In world history, we see that there were dictators who brainwash people with false propaganda and made them do evil to society. Hitler was one such person.
One may have faith in one person or leader. Nothing wrong with believing a person or leader. It should not blind faith. One should have the wisdom and courage to point out faults in the thinking or decisions of the leader. Then only a democratic country will progress on sound lines.
