Telugu film song from movie "Pushpa" against the civility as the song carries objectionable lyrics which hurts the men at large which ultimately forced the men's association in Andhra Pradesh filing a law suit against the movie maker and also the film music director and composer Devi Sri Prasad who coined the song and supported it heart fully thereby earning the wrath of movie goers who feel that the song be banned immediately as it portrays men are the lustful being. The particular item song was done by Samantha and this making headlines even in the news channels. The Song oo solriya ...OoOo solriya has landed up in controversy. Appreciations to the author for connecting the latest controversy in the Telugu states about the song in a movie to the Month TOW topic given by ISC. I have not heard the sound completely but a big controversy is going around in Tollywood. Some comments made by the music director also added fuel to the fire. It is said that the song is having some words which give a very bad picture of the mentality of the movie. Earlier also similar songs came but so much controversy is not there. The main reason may be that the dancer to the song is Samatha who recently took divorce from her husband Nagachaitanya the grandson of ANR and a son of Nagarjuna. I feel this controversy is unwanted and we should not forget that movies are only for entertainment and we should not take them to our heart. Enjoy the movie and forget about the same is the est policy.

Objectification of women has been going on since the very beginning of the film industry and in any language's woman industry through so-called item songs and people have whistled for such songs.
Especially the Bhojpuri film industry which has flourished on the consumption of such songs, where a woman is seen as a sexual object and a man as a lustful being. It s nice to see that people are speaking against at least for men.
But such criticism should happen through non-violent means like social media and not through censorship and disruption since often directors and producers also depict the reality of society through such things.
