Should the state govt employees be kept in humor for safety of govt ?

There has been uneasy calm with the Andhra Pradesh state govt employees as the expected salary hike was not made and they are fuming to launch big agitation on Pay revision. Earlier during the NTR regime when the retirement age was reverted from 60 years to 58 years after NTR being reinstated in the greatest coup played to dethrone him when he reversed the Nadendla Bhaskar Rao order of reducing retirement age from 60 to 58 the employees were fuming and thus shown him the way out in elections. Same would be done in AP also as Jagan is on the war path.

Whether it is State government or Central government the ruling regime has to take care of the government staff and officers and keep them happy. When ever there is a pay hike of Central Government employees then the state governments also follow the pattern and give pay raise to their employees. This may look like an appeasement to some people but it is a basic necessity to keep them in good spirits. Any failure on that account will be a big problem for the Govt.
Frankly speaking, today the salaries of government staff and officers whether it is State government or Central government is on a quite high side. In today's scenario if someone gets a government job then the relatives and friends say that he has got a lottery.
Every quarter they get an inflation related DA increase and that is quite a good amount.
The interesting thing is that government may change, parties may come and go but the salaries of government staff and officers will never decrease and will always go on increasing.
Any Minister at any level whoever tries to decrease their salaries or rationalise them will lose his seat and would be out of power soon.

    Knowledge is power.

The employees play a big role in the functioning of the government. The CM and other ministers may be deciding and passing orders. But the implementation and completion of the job will completely be dependent on the employees. They have to work and see that the job is finished properly on time. Many times we have seen the employees going against the government. During the last elections, the AP government employees worked against Chandra Babu and they favoured YSRCP. That made a lot of difference and Naidu lost the elections.
Today the financial position of the AP is very bad. The government is not able to pay even salaries on time. A pensioner of AP is getting his monthly pension on the 10th of the month instead of the 1st of the month. No money to take up any activity and the state is in very bad shape. So where from the government can bring and give increase to the employees.

If the state fails to keep in tandem with employees then Chandrababu has the chance to take over next.
