Gas, Diesel, and petrol pirces hike a huge setback for India!

The day when Imran khan praises our foreign ministry for its intelligently dealing business with Russia. A huge setback for India as the Gas, Diesel, and petrol prices hike doubled or even tripled. The domestic gas rates of 1002 rs petrol and Diesel rates are unknown how much do they increase?

If the war between Ukraine and Russia continues further then the prices of some select items are going to increase and many countries who are having surplus of these commodities might stop exporting them. Not only India but many other countries also suffer due to this shortage of the common items and the steep increase in their prices would bring economic disaster of a serious kind. The only solution in this condition is to stop the war at an earliest. Unfortunately the war is going in a direction where there are chances of it spreading to other parts are increasing day by day as some countries might opt to help Ukraine to fight against Russia. That would be a difficult situation and the people across the whole world would be affected to more or less extent. Let us hope that such a dreadful situation does not arise out of the present conflict.

The hike what the author has been talking about was holding since three months and it was not a huge hike but adjustments according to the price hike overseas. Raising 80 ps on petrol and 60 paisa on diesel was expected. But the raise of gas was huge that would have the effect on road side vendors who eke out living daily and they would certainly raise the per plate rate of all snacks items and meals. Though the govt has been claiming that they got the discounted rate from Russia, it seems the Oil companies playing game to write off their past losses and take lead time to restore to old price. Nevertheless the hike of fuel prices is always debatable and the middle class are the much affected as the rich and affordable class can always adjust for any hike and middle class are forced live with fixed salaries and any hike would disturb their budget.

That is true and the war is the reason for this price hike. The government is also in a fix. The war between Ukraine and Russia is still going on and there are no signs of stopping. Some other countries may join directly or indirectly in the war. This is in no way good for the world economy. Rich countries may also feel the impact and the impact will be more on countries like India. The population is high in India and the demand for petroleum products is high and so when there is a scarcity we have to pay the higher price. Many oils are getting imported from Ukraine and because of war there is a shortage and their rates increased. Petrol and Diesel prices are increased only for bulk users I read somewhere. But gas cylinder rates increased. We are going to witness the rise in the cost of many other commodities. The only solution for that is to reduce the usage or the war is to be stopped. The war stops is not in our hands and we can only pray for restoration of peace we should reduce our expenses wherever we can so that we will not feel the pinch of the price increase.

In Telangana the usage of palm oil is more by the eateries and the households use the sunflower and groundnut oil. Yes Sunflower refined oil has raised to upward by 45 rupees as I used to purchase at 155 is now costing 200 rupees. And road side food courts are using the palm oil, there seems to be no effect and thus the eateries prices not revised. But the current gas price raise by 50 rupees would have cascading effect on the households and the eateries and they would certainly increase the price. And as regards wheat, the two Telugu states main food is the rice and wheat is sparingly used and one gets a kg of wheat at 12 in ration shops even today and I think wheat prices does not matter. Anyways, the war seems to be prolonging and adamant attitude on both sides leaving destructions and loss of life and property for sure.
