32 fresh faces in UP cabinet. How do you react ?

Out of 52 Ministers in new UP cabinet, 32 of them are freshers and this is the great political rejig done by BJP which always wants to give more chance to the new comers to the party and by virtue of their winning as the first time MLA they have been accommodated with minister post. This draws comparison with Congress in which the old timers always scuffle for the ministry and the parleys would start as soon as the party wins. By taking huge risk, Yogi Adityanath sent strong signals even to BJP that he can govern with new leaders at the helm. Your take please.

In UP, there are quite a number of new faces and BJP must have done some homework in order to give chance to the new entrants as well as to remove some old faces whose performance was not up to the mark. I think that this is a good strategy and BJP would be immensely benefited by this rejig as the new faces will definitely try to work in the best possible ways. It is very evident today that BJP has emerged as a leading party in the UP and naturally the expectations of people would also increase from them. They have to now deliver and the new team is to be made to achieve that objective. Let us hope that BJP in UP comes up to the expectations of the people during this second consecutive term.

Some ministers of the last cabinet of UP have lost the election. Further, many ministers have not scored well in the internal assessment (which is a practice in all BJP-ruled states). So, there are many new faces in the new cabinet in UP. The party has started preparation for the next election.

It is the choice of the Chief Minister to select his ministers and it is the choice of the MLAs to select their leaders. Yogi is the obvious choice for the Chief Minister's post and he has taken oath as Chief Minister yesterday. 2 deputy Chief Ministers, 16 Cabinet ministers, 14 Ministers of State (Independent Charge) and 20 Ministers of State also took the oath.
There will be many considerations to finalise a name for the minister post. His background, experience and management capabilities may be seen and they may be given chances. As mentioned by the other authors, probably some of the earlier ministers might not have got a better score in the evaluation process. Some might have lost their elections. So many new members might have been given a chance. Newcomers can also perform well. When NT Rama Rao became the CM of combined AP, all MLAs except a few were new to politics and some of them became ministers also. Later on, they became very seasoned politicians and became seniors in the party.

May be BJP wants more leaders be created out of new face and hence this rejig.
