Do you know why Nadaswaram or shehnai played in a marriage?

Be it any marriage the sound of Nadaswaram in South India and Shehnai in North India and even band in some families would be in attendance to play the great music and did you know for what reason such music are played during the Muhurat ? That the bride and groom would be in most beautiful dressing and with lots of jewels around the neck of the bride and by wearing the costly sarees, the evil eyes among the invitees should not affect them and therefore as the matter of distraction and by playing music the invitees would be having tapping the music and not having evil eyes on them.

The music keeps our minds happy and we will forget our problems and enjoy the music. That is why there is a good demand for music. So to keep all the people engaged in a good mood the music is played on these occasions. These days we hear music even at official events also. Music is an indication of an auspicious occasion. So on all auspicious occasions, it is a practice to arrange some good music.
Many people feel that hearing sneezing sounds when we start work. During the marriage, there will be many people and while the Muhurtham is being performed a sneezing sound is considered a bad omen. If the music is played the sound of music may make us not hear sneezing sound. That is why these are arranged. This is what I heard from some people.
Any of these music concerts will be good for the people attending the marriage to have a good time pass.
