63 lakh Pay pack per annum for fresher? Is that possible

I came across a television ad in between the serial in Tamil that a student who qualified from a famous North India University has been offered with 63 lakh pay pack per annum by a famed multinational company. And the candidate is seen naming the company in the ad as thanks giving. Is it real or managed. As far as we know that the freshers need to be trained and groomed and for that companies offering a package of above two lakhs salary per month in unbelievable. Can members throw light on what was the big pay to the freshers they came across in recent past?

There are companies who pay huge pay packets to the candidates from reputed institutes like IITs and who fare well in their education and exceptionally well in the selection process. My brother's son is in his final year in a very reputed engineering college in the private sector. Many reputed companies will come and conduct campus interviews there. The maximum package offered by some reputed companies is about Rs,36/- lakhs. When a candidate from a private college is getting such a high package, the chances for the best candidates from the best institutes like IITs to get Rs.63/- lakhs is very much possible.
The private colleges will use these students as a source for advertising for their institutes. So we need not think that the content in such advertisements is fake.

Yes, it is very much possible. Rs. 63 lakhs per annum means roughly $80,000. It is a typical salary for freshers with a master's degree in top companies in the US. The outstanding candidates may fetch even more. The candidates having completed a Ph.D. in computer science like subjects will get much more. However, about one-third of the salary will get deducted as income tax. Also, the cost of living is very high in major cities in the US.
