A dropped catch may cost a match

India lost the Asia cup 2022 Super 4 match to Pakistan. India scored well and gave a tough score to the rival team. India was in the game and chances were better for India till the 18th over. At that stage, Pakistan required 32 runs in 15 balls. Not an easy task. Ravi Bishnoi was the bowler. Asif got a top edge and the ball went to Arshdeep at short third man offering him a catch. But the fielder dropped it and the match went in favour of Pakistan. In the 19th over Asif scored 19 runs from Bhuvaneswar Kumar which changed the game completely in favour of Pakistan. That is why we hear many times in cricket that a dropped catch may cost a match. That is why fielding is very crucial and the players should be alert.
We have to see how India fares in other Super 4 matches. Let's wish all the best to the Indian team in this tournament.

Even one mistake in the game is sufficient to create problem for the team especially when there is stiff competition. Cricket is a game where scoring runs and not allowing the team to make runs both are equally important. If we make a good score but the other team makes more runs than that then there is no point in making a good score. A good fielding is the main reason for the winning of a team in many cases. A team whose fielding is well coordinated and professionally executed is a better team in many respects. For that the team members have to work in a complete unison and it is the prime duty of the captain to motivate the team in that direction.
