A high scoring match but India lost

The first T20 match of the 2022 series between India and Australia was played yesterday. India lost the toss and Australia choose to bowl first. India made the highest-ever score of runs against Australia. They scored 208 runs in 20 overs by losing 6 wickets. Hardik Pandya top-scored 71 from 30 balls. Yadav scored 46 of 25 balls.

But Australia defended the score successfully by losing the same number of wickets scoring 211 in 19.2 overs. Green scored 61 of 30 balls and wade scored 45 of 21 balls. The Indian bowling and fielding were not up to the mark. Australia scored almost 60 runs in the last 4 overs which made the winning possible for Australia.

With this win, Australia was leading 1 - 0 in a 3-match series. I expect India to come back and win the next match that is going to be played on the coming Friday.

India scored a massive total of 208 runs against Australia which India should have defended. Indian batting was at its best when they were batting- KL Rahul, Surya Kumar and then finally Pandya- a great all-rounder smashed 71 off just 30!

Indian batters did well to score 208 but not defending this target means some serious issues with the bowling department.

India should have defended the total but Australia played equally sensibly to snatch the match from the jaws of India. In the end, it looked so easy for Australia to win the match.

Australia played a great cricket and never let the run rate go up. They kept scoring runs at a good rate and on the game.

India need to look into where they went wrong and work on those weakness.
