Vicissitude in life while making a career

After completing the basic education or advanced education whatever be the case maybe, a person searches for a job or tries for self employment for making a livelihood and career. Next thing that comes in line is to progress in the area one has chosen or in which one has got an opportunity to work. Now the real challenge starts. There is a lot of competition everywhere and it is not possible that everyone will progress ahead and have success in one's career. Even after working hard there will be instances when setbacks and failures would be there while at times there will be progress and achievements. So the journey of career is laced up with ups and downs and people have to face it sportingly and patiently.

Please share your views and experiences in this regard.

Ups and downs will be there always in our lives. Success will come only when you react to those situations positively and suitably. Today I may be happy about the promotion I got but this happiness should not make us complacent and I should continue to show my potential by working hard. Even after putting all our maximum efforts we may not get the desired result. We should not get depressed and see what made us face failure. That will improve our chances of success in our next assignments.
The ups in our careers should not make us proud and the failures in our careers should not make us get dejected. When we have a balanced approach towards all ups and downs they will teach us many things and it is sure that finally, we will enjoy the fruits. Even when we face the biggest failure also we should not give up and try again by correcting our mistakes so that finally we will be successful.

It is true that life is not a smooth sailing affair for everyone and from time to time there are ups and downs. The important thing in all such conditions is to find ways to move ahead. This may not be so easy but with perseverance, people come out of many obstacles. This is applicable in almost every aspect of life. In terms of career, staying updated is important as needs do change according to the situation. The technological advancement in any domain is such that one has to stay updated about the latest technologies. For example, people dealing with types of equipment/technologies which are old may not be able to continue their business in the same way in future if they do not plan to upgrade themselves as there will be very less or no users of that equipment. Gradually, their position will go downwards if they do not take corrective action on time. Remaining aware and making conscious decisions in any situation is helpful to guard us when things do not move in our way.
