Is it Artificial Intelligence or mere coincidence?
Earlier, when we did not have smartphones, if someone called on the landline phone at the same time when we were talking or thinking about the person, then we used to say it was a coincidence or even telepathy.But now in the era of smartphones and AI, when such incidents take place, people say it is AI. Recently we had a discussion on a product and the next second I got a call from the product provider asking whether I had contacted them. I had contacted them earlier (say about 6 to 7 months back) and got the product and used it then. I had not contacted them later nor recently nor had brought the product. We thought of buying it again on that day only and hence discussed it.
After the call came, someone said it must be AI which carried the information through some smartphone algorithm. But I was still in doubt because at that time the smartphone was not connected to the data service provider.
Are smartphones equipped with such facilities or could it have been a mere coincidence? Members may please come up with your inferences.
