In those days guests are coming rightously without notice. House persons also, in spite of having no modern amenities like fridge, mixie etc., please them with their pleasant service without any shrink in face. But presently though we have all facilities, even we can order through online, many of us hesitate to have guests. Many relatives also hesitant to go to other houses in view of not disturbing their privacy.
But however any work from daily cooking got spoiled if done with half mind.

Attempting many works at a time may not allow us to finish all the work nicely. We may have to compromise on quality. When the housewife is busy with many commitments she hand may not be able to devote sufficient time and concentrate on cooking. That is why sometimes the dishes made by them may not be tasty. The appliances she had may not help her in managing the quality.
The concepts are changing. The people who want to visit some of their relatives are also hesitating to go without prior information as the hosts may feel inconvenient. The hosts also are expecting their guests to inform them before they come. This is the order of the day.

There are many changes happening in the society and the way how people treat and entertain other persons speciality the visiting guests.
These changes are inevitable and coming in our lives because of various reasons like breaking of joint families to nuclear families, husband and wife both working outside, people becoming more privacy conscious, and things like that.
Today many people are informing about their visit beforehand and are not reaching at any unscheduled time they wanted as was the practice earlier.
Earlier, housewives were more focused towards preparing food and other household activities of that nature but today they have many other things also to attend and they may not concentrate so much on entertaining the guests as was prevalent in earlier times.

We can see a lot of changes in our society especially the social connections have been minimal due to our activities. This is especially true for the couples both working in the offices and for them it has been rather difficult to devote so much time to the guests coming from the distant places. We cannot say that they are not paying regards to the relatives but it is not that their love and affection has changed. The couples need to do a lot of homework apart from their office activities.
The housewives remain over stressed due to multiple activities which might include the preparation of tiffins, getting them fed prior to sending them schools and host of home activities. Naturally their attention is diverted to various activities and hence proper attention to be paid drops for entertaining guests.
