    Micro story writing contest

    We are announcing another micro-fiction writing contest for the new year to begin with a bang. A micro-fiction is a story told in its shortest form. You need to restrict your story to not more than fifty words but the same should have a beginning, the connecting part and a conclusion as in any other short story. In short, it should be a complete story expressed in very few words.

    What you have to do-

    1. Post your micro-story here as a response to this thread only. Please understand what a micro-story is (as mentioned above) before you begin writing.

    2. You can post up to a maximum of three entries. Each entry should be posted as separate responses. As you can submit only two consecutive responses in a thread, just wait for the response of others, if you want to post your third entry.

    3. You may or may not provide a title to your story.

    4. The story should not contain more than 50 (fifty) words. The title will not be counted.

    5. All members including Editors can participate and all the entries would be awarded suitably.

    6. The posting guidelines as laid down will squarely apply for this contest also. Any entry that violates the guidelines will be rejected without any explanation.

    7. Any response other than entries would be summarily rejected. Queries, if any, may be sent to the author of this thread via the ISC Message mode.

    The best story will receive a cash reward of Rs 50/- and the next two entries will receive Rs 30/- each. Other eligible entries may also be given enhanced points or cc or both. ISC admin will be at liberty to change the prize amount or the number of prizes according to the number of entries received.

    The closing date for this contest is 09 January 2023.

    Note- The decision of the jury selecting the winners would be final.

    So, why wait? Start cracking your creative inclinations and come up with unique themes.

    Title: Humiliated!!!

    The young woman first abused and later slapped the man inside the bus. She complained to others that the man looked at her inappropriately.

    Humiliated, the middle-aged man got down from the public bus. He could not explain that the young woman resembled his daughter who had expired long back.

    A man drove his car on the main road with his wife and mother. A police jeep followed them and alighted police commissioner appreciated his driving with a reward of 10000. Wife told him to get license with that money. Deaf mother from the car, "Why police, did they know you're stealing this car?"

    Today was her birthday and she thought to go to her parent's house.

    Raju played with his younger sister Meena but often beat her. Raju's father during a festival bought gifts for family members except Raju. He told Raju that until he stopped beating Meena, he would not get any gift.

    Reena was a poor girl. After marriage, her husband asked about her date of birth. But, she had no idea because she never celebrated her birthday. One day, her husband saw the date of birth in her document and decided to celebrate. Keeping everything secret, he gifted her a gold necklace and invited all his friends to celebrate birthday.

    Title:
    A divine donation.

    Ajantha's colleagues were shocked to see her long hair chopped off when she entered her office. She had a crop cut which looked ridiculous.

    They did not know that she had donated her crowning glory for a good cause that would be used as a wig for cancer patients.

    A man on hearing words of his wife took his father to an orphanage. After admission formalities over, he saw his father was talking with the Orphanage-in-charge freely.     Eleven-year-old Krutharth went to a grocery store to buy provisions. There a man bought a water bottle, drank throwing the bottle away on the road. Krutharth requested him to put it in the dustbin, but he was not bothered. Krutharth picked the bottle and put in the dustbin politely.

    Raju was very happy because her teacher had made him the monitor of the class for the first time although he was not brilliant like earlier monitors.
