Parking vehicles haphazardly leads to inconvenience

Driving two-wheelers is good. Driving in erratic speed with a vrooming sound is becoming a common one among youngsters. They do not think about their life if driving goes erratic as well they do not realize the situation of pedestrians and other transporters on the road.
Besides this, they park their vehicles exactly in front of the gate of Schools/houses/shops etc in order to hinder others. Similarly auto drivers park their autos when not moving at the corners of roads where the left side turners affect much. Recently a district collector of one district of Tamil Nadu saw an auto parked at the corner of a road on his way to home in the morning. He stopped his car and advised the auto driver not to park in that way. But without knowing him as an authority the auto driver talked to him as usually. Without any reaction the collector called the traffic police men of the adjacent corner and advised him to keep the auto driver with him till the evening for regulating the traffic. He called the nearest police station and asked them to take the auto under their custody till evening and only if the traffic police confirmed his obeyance.
Similar treatment by officials will rectify such erratic driving.

This is a serious problem faced by many people in many cities in our country. Young people on two-wheeler feel that the road is reserved for them. They cross lanes as they like and never bother about the other vehicle that is travelling on the road. Many times accidents happen because of the attitude of these young drivers. The fines they pay are not bothering them at all.
Parking in many places will be done without thinking about fellow passengers. The action taken by that Collector in Tamilnadu is very apt and all other officers should also follow such methods only. One more point is that the rules should be made more severe. If any person pays fine more than 3 times in a span of 6 months, his/her licence should be suspended and he should be asked to take again a licence after a year or so.
Otherwise, people are taking fines lightly and continuing their careless driving and unauthorised parking of their vehicles.

Driving needs a lot of discipline and patience. Many young people drive recklessly and make accidents. They harm other people also who are simply walking on the roadsides.
Most of the people are not having awareness about parking and do silly mistakes in doing that. They will have a tendency of parking the vehicle as near to the shop or place as possible. In doing that they would park the vehicle in a very wrong way.
Similarly, some people park their vehicles at the bending point which is very unsafe and should never be done.

    Knowledge is power.
