Patience is absent in many of us

In this hurry world everybody sailing along with. But they do not understand that why they are applying this hurry in everything and everywhere.
Today I went to Sri Meenakshi temple at Madurai. There was a good crowd in the temple. I went in the special darshan ticket. There was also a good crowd. A couple behind me hurrying me to move forward and telling again again why people are stagnant. I just turned to them and asked them to go before me in order to hurrying me from relaxed darshan. After coming out from the shrine queue, I catches them and told,'Sir, we all are coming to temple for peace and if you are commercially visiting temple it is just waste'.
Patience is lost in us while visiting Temples, doctors etc., but patiently spending time in hotels and cinema halls.

The author is right impatience is seen everywhere, devotees visiting the temples are not the exceptions even such premises. Temples are meant for restoration of peace due to the calm atmosphere prevailing over there. It is the human attitude which cannot be so easily given up. Attitudes of impatience are seen everywhere irrespective the places they are seen. Some people are seen contradicting you in the midst of your talk and put forth their own arguments. They lack patience to hear your entire texts of yours. A few people can go to the extent of hot talks loosing their temperaments and sometimes require interventions of the rational people to tackle such odd situations. Such scenarios were not prevalent in the past.

Patience is a very great quality but very few people have it. It is a very common thing that most of us lose our patience on small matters. We do not think about matters in a cool way. The irony is that without understanding the matter we simply make haste and lose mental peace.
People who have a good degree of patience are many times benefited from it.
A few days back I was standing at a bus stop with my younger brother. One bus came but it was slightly crowded so I let it go but my brother told me that we should have gone by that and saved time. Soon another bus came and there were many seats vacant. We sat comfortably and reached may be 10-15 minutes later. There was no urgent work for us so 10-15 minutes did not make a difference.
My brother told me that we did a good thing by avoiding the crowded bus and by waiting for the next one. I grinned at him and agreed.

    Knowledge is power.

That is very true. We have no patience. We want results immediately. The moment we take medicine, we should get relief. The moment we have completed our examination the result should come. In earlier days we used to wait hours together to see the doctor. But these days we are not having such a problem. The doctor gives us a slot and we can go there and get our work done. But we have to know patience to wait for even 15 minutes.
For any work to get completed requires some time and we should give sufficient time for that. Otherwise, the end result will not be as expected.
We all go to places of worship to have peace of mind. Even there also some people try to cross the queue and have the Darshan early. If you are in such a hurry, there is no compulsion to go to the temple. If you go to a hotel and order a dish you may have to wait even sometimes for more than 15 minutes. It is better to spend a little more time to have peace of mind. Then your mind will work sharply and the other activities can be finished faster. So one should be not in a hurry.
