If we are blaming a system in which we are working then we are blaming ourselves!

We all are working inside a system. Whether it is an organization or a government department or a business unit or a self-created profession, these are all systems where some people are working including ourselves.
A system will work perfectly only when all the people working in it are contributing and working as per the overall objectives of the company. If some of the employees are not in the main stream and going against the organizational goals then organisation will suffer. This is true for every system and even for a family in which people are living together under a common monthly expense mechanism. So the point is that if someone blames the system in which one is working then he is actually blaming oneself because he is a part and parcel of that system. By simply blaming others he cannot get rid of his responsibilities. So if we are blaming a system in which we are working then we are blaming ourselves. What are your views on this? please share.

What the author has indicated in his post is absolutely correct. It has been the norm of the organisation to set the targets monthly wise and year wise to raise their productivity. If the blame of blaming continues for an appreciable time, this will as a whole hamper the process of achieving the targets. Moreover blaming to one another will cause confrontation and and the smooth relationships of the work force will have negative impacts in the work culture. Hence more the cohesion, more is the chances of achieving the targets set for the organisation.
In the private sectors at least they are well disciplined in terms of the work culture where the blaming game is minimal. Apart from that, the employers offer attractive incentives to the employees to achieve the deadlines set for the month.

I have a different point of view from the author on this matter. This is true that blaming each and everything is not a solution to anything. However, I personally feel that if there is something truly wrong with an organization, there is nothing wrong to point out the fault. In fact, it will only help the organization to progress well in the future. A true and honest employee will always work for the betterment of the organization and for that if he/she has to be vocal on something which can change the organization for the betterment, I feel there is nothing wrong with it. I personally feel that accepting anything with "yes ma'am' and "yes sir" may benefit any employee in the long run and he/she can become a good employee in the eye of the Boss. However, the bosses are not all fools and they know if the organization has to run successfully and achieve bigger, they need more honest and true employees than sycophants.

Alternatively thinking about the view of the author can be acceptable if the person forcefully doing the things in the wrong system. Without other alternative, some people are forced to work in the wrong system. But however the system if found erroneous or not right the responsible falls on the chief of the place. He should observe the system before implementing whether any lacuna occurs and if he himself found the same should be corrected by him immediately on finding.
I heard one joke happened in our office twenty years back. A newly appointed person came to our department by saying that 'system is not alright'. As a CEO was sitting in our room heard this and got sullen and told, 'He is a new guy, how can he say our system is not alright'. I told him that, 'Sir! he is not telling our management system but he is telling about his system (computer) provided to him for working'. Heard my manager burst into laughter and CEO also joined with him.

I read somewhere that an employee can perform well in an organisation where an employee can stand up and point out the mistakes he has noticed to other seniors in a meeting. But how many organisations will give this chance to a low-cadre or middle-cadre employee? In some organisations, bosses will say do what I say and never question me. In such organisations, a real performer can't survive for long. They may continue till they get a job.
When a correct system is in place and system is working for so many years, we can say the system is in place. Sometimes we may have to change the system, itself. In such instances only going alone may not be sufficient. We have to do that with due consultations with all the people involved in the system.
A user-friendly environment and the system created means we can expect a higher quantum of work from the person who is executing the work.
It is true that we should not blame the system. We should try and modify the system if we can make it for better working.
