    We can perform well when we are with like-minded people

    We will be meeting many people during our journey on this planet. But we can't be friends with all and we will be friends with a few. What makes this difference? We will be good with like-minded people. Our friendship with like-minded people will be for a long and we will have such people only as our best friends.

    When we are around like-minded people we will feel at home. They encourage us, help us and see that we will perform better. So, It is always better to be among like-minded people. You will get motivated by such people and you can perform better. Definitely, we can do well when we are with like-minded people.

    A good post raised by the author where he has made it clear that with the like minded persons our journey in the life becomes comfortable. This is because of constant motivation getting from our friends. It works like a tonic rejuvenating our minds and bodies due to their inspirations. No matter, where we are, we would definitely perform well once we start doing any job later.
    Think of a situation where we are alone always suspicious of being successful in our performance, the results might not be positive due to absence of friendly atmosphere.

    If many people are like-minded in a company then it makes a good team and whenever there is a good team the results are always good. Successful companies operate on those premises only. A good team always works in the direction of common objectives and goals of the company. But in real-life situations, we don't achieve such a perfect system in organizations. Some people will differ from us, will have a conflict with us, and in some cases, they will even fight and contradict us. So it is not easy to have like-minded people in a group. A good leader understands this crucial factor and tries to motivate and encourage different people as per their aspirations. The main function of a good leader is to create a perfect team and the perfect team will only be there when everyone is motivated and encouraged to do the work which brings profits to the company. Once the employees know that they are the stake holders they will be serious about their work.

    This is a good thread, and it is true that we can get best result if we work with like-minded people. It is applicable for any area of our life. Government, cine industry, politics, sports anything in this world.

    The author is perfectly correct. I do not know any games and no place for me in the gathering where the discussion about games are going. If happened to be there I just watch their talking by moving my head here and there. But if the subject of a gathering gone with my known subject, I very eagerly participate. Similar to that the like minded people only can understand the ifs and buts of the discussion or talking. We cannot explain a thing which is not known by other person. Similarly if a Manager without knowing perfect in the subject of his department, cannot get work successfully with the subordinates. Tamil Poet Avvayyar told, ' Katraare katraarai kaamuruvar' which means the educationist can like another educationist.

    Not necessarily so! Sometimes a situation may arise that we will be uncomfortable or under pressure to perform in the presence of those whom we are well acquainted with and who share our interests. In such a case, we may not perform up to our potential.

    The opposite also holds true. We may not like someone or share something mutually, but yet get motivated by them because of something they have done or some character trait that we appreciate, perhaps grudgingly, that will inspire us to not just do well, but soar.

    I think we should come out of the narrow confines of such thoughts as conveyed by the author and have the self-confidence to give it our best shot when interacting with others, like-minded people, or otherwise.

    When we are in a new place, doing something new and with a new group of associates we do not know their mindsets. So in such cases, won't we perform as there is no one to motivate us? It is true that we find it easier to work with like-minded people but that should not be the determining factor of our performance. Here I would like to translate the verse of Rabindranath Tagore where he says If no one pays attention to your call, walk alone (I tried to translate his version into English). When you are aware of what you have to do you need to do it irrespective of whether there is someone to inspire you or not. If the condition is in our favour, as with like-minded people, it's good but in every situation, it is not possible and if we only wish to work with like-minded people then we may have to wait a lot to find the right group.

    My intention is to say that the best in a person may come out when he is surrounded by like-minded people. When you have to perform you should perform anywhere and everywhere as required. When we focus on our performance and forget what is there around we may give our best. In such a case, we don't bother who is around us. Thanks for a good debate.

    What I narrated earlier, I missed an important point to be added for the better performance of the performers. If the ideas originated from his mind with which they are fully convinced that their plans would work certainly to get the positive results, they should not remain under the ambiguous state and with the permission of higher ups, they should go through their well thought plans to achieve the results. There might be a lot of interruptions from the team of superiors in proceeding ahead with their mission but they should not revert back with the initiatives earlier taken but at the same they need to secure their confidence with the forceful logic behind such executions. The top performers should not be hesitant in reflecting their true potentials. Though such personalities are rare but we can see their talents sometimes with their excellent approach of their job executions.
