Let us pay our respects to Mahatma Gandhi on his 75th. death anniversary.

Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated on this day 75 years back. For those who forgot him or did not know who he was, let me say that he was the man who led the independence struggle against the British and succeeded in getting independence to our country. His primary weapons were non-violence and truth. It was ironic that a person who believed in non-violence was assassinated in a violent manner.

I pay my respects to Gandhiji who practiced what he preached and made it possible for all of us to live in an independent country. The country and the world needs people like Gandhiji in these troubled times.

I also join to remember and bow to the great leader who was not only the great leader of India but the whole world.
Mahatma Gandhi was a real leader of common masses and had a personality and capacity to attract a large number of followers which made the great British empire take note of his methods and they were made to leave the country in no time.
The most strange and amazing thing about Mahatma Gandhi is that he did not use any weapons to fight against the enemy. What he did was just by nonviolence and a combined showcase of the strength of people for the struggle for freedom. Gandhiji lived a simple life though he could choose to live otherwise also. His sacrifice of materialistic things over patriotism and national feelings is an exemplary one.
One thing that Gandhiji could not perceive or where Gandhian ideology does not fit is that whatever we do the bad elements in the world will remain bad and create a problem for the society and until such bad elements are severely punished common people are not safe. We cannot win everyone with love. For example, terrorists, murderers, rapists, and other such criminals are to be hanged quickly as any laxity will encourage these bad elements to repeat their bad deeds.

    Knowledge is power.

Gandhiji, the father of the nation will be always there in the minds of all Indians. Under his able guidance, many of our leaders struggled for freedom in the country. Because of his persistent efforts only India has become Independent. So one should not forget him. On his 75th death anniversary, I pay my respects to this departed soul.
Non-violence and non-cooperation are the two tools much used by him in the struggle and I don't know how far this non-violence struggle will work these days. Those days are entirely different and people are not that fast. But present people are different. So sometimes non violence may not be useful.
Gandhiji is special in many issues. He lived a very simple life and never wasted money for his personal benefit. People should learn many things from this man.

Gandhi will remain within our heart for his unique qualities. He appeared to be a simple man in his appearance but had great courage to fight with odds with his indomitable spirit. He could mobilise others to adopt the path of non-violence to win the heart of the opposition. He could not have succeeded in his mission if he lacked the cooperation of the common masses. Even the British Rulers could not restrict his ways of winning the people and they were aware of the fact that putting him behind the bars could aggravate instability within the country. It was his strength to influence the rulers and finally he was able to get the nation free from the obstinate British Rulers.
He tried his best to win the people with his non violent activities but unfortunately his formula did not work for the bad elements and ultimately he lost his life with the attack of an insane person- Nathuram Godse on this fateful day but he has left his impression within the heart of the people for his unique contributions for the society.

I pay my deep obeisance to the great soul on his death anniversary. We regard the Mahatma as the father of our nation but are we following in his footsteps? There is intolerance everywhere and many of us act violently to prove our supremacy. Following his teachings in every sphere of our lives would be a perfect way to pay respects. Let's take a pledge at least this time to bring the desired changes the world over.
