Sometimes our own concepts are not working out as expected. The author has rightly posted that he hurriedly sold his induction stove thinking that repairing of the same would involve more cost. But that was not the case which he felt that some buyers of the induction stove were in the lines in the Preethi Service Centre for undertaking of repairs of such stoves. This provides us clear indication that our well thought plans are not taking shapes as anticipated earlier. Sometimes, it is hard to judge the right period of our decisions.

Sometimes it happens. What we think may be proved wrong. But it is all in the game. We have to continue our work. This is the fact of human life.
It is good that you have taken a decision and sold it off. Some people will go on thinking whether to sell or get it repaired. They will continue their thinking. Meanwhile, the item will get rusted and become unserviceable and you have to throw it only. That is why people say taking a decision is important whether right or wrong. A wrong decision is always welcome in stead of no decision.
These days many people got habituated to use and throw policy. They never think of repair. Use it as long as it works and then scrap it. This is what many of the young people follow. Especially electrical and electronic items are not given for repair. As an old times I believe in getting the things repaired and use them as long as possible,

In our country going for repair and maintaining the gadgets properly is still a cost effective measure. Many middle class and lower class people are resorted to that on a regular basis and there are a large number of mechanics repairing the gadgets at a very nominal cost.
At the same time some people who are having money to spend and can afford are going for use and throw mode in which any bad item will be discarded and a new item will be bought for use. As there is no market for the second hand items specially the household gadgets these are to be sold as scrap only to the waste paper boy visits us regularly for collecting old newspaper and other old household items as scrap.
I personally believe in getting things repaired and use them till their last breath and I am not only very successful in that but I am also happy about it.
Knowledge is power.

There is no need to repent for your action but make sure to enquire about the cost of repair the next time before going for a new purchase. Who knows, the cost of repair of the induction stove could have been really more as you are not aware of the faults due to which you discarded it. The important thing is to learn from decisions that go wrong and I am sure this will work as a lesson.
