Is there any place in AP like that of Kodaikanal in TN?

There are so many treasures in India and many in South India as well. I have been to many places in Karnataka. However, I do not know much about AP, which is another wonderful place. Hyderabad, the former Capital of AP, in my opinion, is the best city in India, with the best of fabulous people.

However, tourist information about AP, particularly the hill stations is not so well known. Arukku valley has been referred by a friend, and that seems to be a great place to visit.

However, is there any other place other than this Arakku valley, which is as good as Kodaikanal in Tamil Nadu? Can we know details from Rao Sir or other people, who are from AP?

Later this year, during summer, we need to move around to such a place.

Long ago, when I joined this site in 2015, I wrote a Forum post on Lambasingi, a place located near Visakhapatnam and Arakku valley in Andhra Pradesh. This is the only place which witnesses annual snowfall in South India. Lambasingi

The place is exquisitely beautiful. The author may try this place for peace and solitude far away from urban life.

Andhra Pradesh, one of the southern states situated at the eastern ghats is a beautiful place with good climate, beautiful hill stations, lush greenery. Most of the hill stations in AP have not been popular and less crowded that they are not much elevated by the tourism department. Other than the places like Araku Valley, Nagari Hills, Thirumala & Thirupathi, there have been many hill stations that can attract natural lovers who love trekking, bird watching, etc.

Maredumilli at the height of 1362 m is a village near Vizag on the Badrachalam-Rajahmundry highway with rejuvenating nature surrounded with bamboo grooves, palm trees, and beautiful waterfalls too. While you visit you can enjoy the taste of bamboo chicken, a popular dish over there if you are a non-vegetarian.

Horsley Hills, also known as Horsleykonda, a hidden retreat to the eyes in the interiors of the State is a tiny hamlet at the height of 1290 m located near Madanapalle town. Wildlife sanctuary, Horsley Hill Zoo, Kaigal Falls, Mallamma Temple are some best places to visit.

There are also Nallamala Hills, Ananthagiri Hills, Papikondalu, Nagalapuram, and Lambasingi at the height of 1000 m, which is the Kashmir of Andhra Pradesh with snowfall as Mr. Partha mentioned.

Horsley Hills is a place similar to Kodaikanal. A beautiful hill station and good to visit during summer. This place is also known as Horsleykonda or Yenugula Mallamma Konda . The locals here say that a saintly old woman named Mallamma was living on the top of the hill and some elephants there were feeding food to this lady. This place is an attractive hill station and tourist spot. The minimum temperature is about 15 degrees centigrade and the maximum may be around 28 degrees centigrade.
There are some places worth seeing. Chennakesava temple and Mallamma temple are two good temples to visit. There is a Zoo which is interesting. Kaigal water falls is very beautiful and should visit. Whisper Wind View Point, Gali Bandalu and a big tree names Kalyani are some of the important places to visit in this place. Gangotri lake is also an important seasonal lake to visit.
This place is located near Chittor in Andhra Pradesh nit very far from Chennai and border to Karnataka.

There are many hill stations in Andhra Pradesh and out of that some notable ones are Tirumala, Nallamala Hills, Lambasingi, Papikondalu, Nagalapuram, Ananthagiri, Araku Valley, Horsley Hills, Nagari Hills, Maredumili etc.
Some of them are popular for trekking and climbing while others are famous for their waterfalls and thick vegetation.
Kodaikanal in Tamilnadu is a very attractive hill station and it has a great natural beauty.
I would suggest two hill stations in Andhra Pradesh that are comparable to Kodaikanal. These are Lambasingi and Ananthagiri.

    Knowledge is power.
