In such a situation never forget to keep the heat of your stove in lowest position!

This post may evoke interesting responses in the minds of housewives and also in those men who are habitual in working in the kitchen.

When we are engaged in some cooking job then sometimes we keep the flame or heat of the stove in a high position not only to save time but also due to some cooking technique required for that particular dish. At times it so happens that we get distracted from our work due to say a ringing phone, a doorbell squeaking or a family member coming into the kitchen and asking for something on an urgent basis. In all such situations, our first action should be either to put off the stove or keep the heat or flame in the lowest position. This may appear like a small thing but if we forget that then the result would be disastrous because anything can happen to the dish and it could be spoilt or charred.

Have you got any experience in this regard when you got distracted and the dish got spoilt?

My wife follows this very strictly. If something is urgent she will call my daughter in law to take care of the dish on the stove and she will move out from kitchen. Otherwise she will keep the flame in SIM position and then attend to other work.

It is an interesting post by the author. Such situations might arise time to time and handling both situations might prove to be walking on a dead rock. If we skip either of the items, the results could be disastrous. Any emergency call from our own members would require to resolve their problems first but simultaneously a proper care has to be taken to handle the cooking process including the flame to be kept in the SIM position. Any negligence would cause a serious issue and hence for the emergency situation, if the job is entrusted to a reliable member, it would be more appropriate.

I had only given one example of putting the flame in low position in the kitchen but what I intended to mention was that any small thing to be done at the last moment is to be attended very sincerely otherwise we will be having a big problem.
I remember when I was in my class VIII, everyone except myself and my uncle left for a function in a nearby village and we were supposed to go there later in the afternoon.
My uncle told me that due to some work he would be going early and I should follow him after an hour after attending to a few jobs that he told me to do.
One of the job was to off the kerosene wick stove once the milk was boiled.
I was too much excited to follow him and was only thinking about the function in that place and though I completed things in time but forgot to off the stove and locked the door and left for village in a hurry.
When we returned in the night then there was a smell of charred milk and the stove was off once the kerosene got finished. It took quite some time to clean that utensil also.

    Knowledge is power.
