A fun time with colours- let's play Holi!
Let's have some fun today to celebrate Holi, the festival of colours. Do you remember the childhood game 'Froggy, Froggy, may we cross your Golden River'? The person chosen as Froggy had to name a colour that the other kids had to find around them and hold on to to be allowed the cross the 'river'. Those who did not have the colour could cross but not get caught in doing so, and, if caught, would help the Froggy to catch the others. The last kid would be the winner. Let us play something similar today. What you have to do: Submit a creative write-up that starts with a colour and ends with the same. That is, the first and last words should be the same colour. You can include any one other colour, too, in the text. It could be a general write-up or a short story or even a poem. Just keep it concise. Each member can submit a maximum of two entries. The entry should be submitted in a response to this thread only.
The rules: Just one - Keep it concise and not too lengthy, adhering to forum posting guidelines.
The rewards: There are no prizes as such, as this is just something fun. However, all quality entries will be awarded enhanced points and cash credits up to a maximum of 20, and more than one entry may be awarded the same cc.
The challenge: An entry which picks up the colour from the previous entry may be considered for bonus points and cc. For example, if I write a short story with the colour lavender, and you write a sequel with the same colour, you may be given the bonus if it is a good sequel. Or if somebody submits a general writeup on the colour blue and you write something about the same colour which is not similar, but a total contrast to what was stated in the earlier entry, then you may be entitled to the bonus. [That is why two entries are allowed- you can write your own individual one, and pick up somebody else's entry as well to continue on it.]
While multiple entries with the same colour are fine, let's try to make the thread colourful!
Closing date and time: 8th March 2023, 11 a.m. Have fun!
