Misbehavior with woman on the name of Holi

Recently a very appalling video is getting circulated where a 22-year-old girl, a tourist from Japan is getting surrounded and harassed by a bunch of males on the pretext of playing Holi.

This year Holi coincided with international woman's day and on such occasions women getting such treatment is such a shameful thing. Why don't men in our society are taught the meaning of consent? good touch and bad touch? What kind of foolishness is this? This video is so disturbing where a woman is visibly uncomfortable with all the men around her but these men are so blinded.

It is very disgusting to touch someone when one does not want to be touched. What is your take on it? have you ever had an open conversation with the children of your family about such issue?
When will we teach boys of the family their boundaries as we do with our girls? These men are feeling as if they have done something wonderful and are laughing and having fun while that poor girl is so distraught, disgusted and heartbroken. A few years ago some more such videos came to light where men were misbehaving with a foreign woman in Banaras in the name of playing Holi.

One should enjoy a festival with joy and happiness, not with such hooliganism. These incidents not just present the whole nation in a bad light but also the lack of awareness among young men and teenagers about very essential things like consent and manners.

It is definitely in a bad taste. In the name of Holi behaving like that with women is not acceptable.
Whoever is doing such actions it shows the bringing up of that person. These people are brought up in an environment where they had seen such things happening around and no person in the society objecting for it. So elders in the society are also responsible for these things happening around. If all the parents teach their children good manners and train them for proper behaviour then only such incidents will not happen.
Holi is a coloured festival of fun and love and it does not entitle us to offend anyone.

This is bad behavior found in some person who are coming for this purpose to the public places. It is not easy to find out such persons unless otherwise there should be some CCTV camera etc., but that too can be detected and punished only on the complaint received, but for this no person intends to give a complaint publicly. The only possible way is the person noticed such misbehavior should bold enough to call police or rescue personnel. For this police personnel should co-operate to grab such miscreants. In some villages there are some energetic guys roaming in such crowds and catch such miscreants to a separate place and punish badly.

A video is circulated which means someone shot the video and uploaded it on a platform then others got to know about it. The behaviour described in the thread is undoubtedly shameful and disturbing but what action has been taken so far after the video is circulated? If the identities of the criminals cannot be detected from the video then some references can be found from the uploader of the video. We have technologies nowadays where it is possible to know who uploaded the video first. Unless there is punishment such crimes will go on. Along with teaching right and wrong punishment and reform also should be there.

We are hearing many incidents in which girls are being harassed by some males. That too on an important day like women's day. That shows the value that is being given to those people to women. Definitely, these acts speak about the culture of the people. These days parents are not able to give sufficient time and teach their children about the culture and how they should behave in this society. That is why we are hearing many such incidents.
I feel Indian women should learn self-defence skills and protect themselves from such incidents. The law and order wing is not able to control such activities.

I agree with the author that there is misbehaviour in the name of Holi. It is common in our country. It is really shameful since our culture taught us to respect women but this type of event is really intolerant. I remember in our childhood we cannot go out of the home due to Holi. Abusing in public is also common at this festival.
    Honesty is the best policy.
