Religion gives me strength of mind

For me, religion can provide a sense of purpose, meaning, and comfort, which can contribute to my mental and emotional well-being. Engaging in religious practices and beliefs can also provide a sense of community and support, which can help me cope with difficult times.

However, it is important to note that religion's impact on mental health is complex and can vary greatly from person to person. Some people may find solace in their faith, while others may experience anxiety or depression as a result of their religious beliefs. Additionally, religious teachings and practices can sometimes be used to justify harmful behaviors or beliefs.

Overall, religion can be a source of strength and comfort for me, but it is not a guaranteed solution for mental health issues, and it is important to approach it with a critical and thoughtful mindset.

We can reach a place in different directions and different modes of transport but going to a same place.
No religion gives wrong way to anyone. All religions are having same faith but in different ways.
Religion and religious talking are definitely giving strength of mind and peace thereby. Many can say from house itself we can pray God and is unnecessary to visit Temples, Mosques, Churches etc., This is just similar to seeing a cinema in mobile/Television/Computer than in a cinema hall. We watch a cinema in a Theater, without others disturbance or diversion of thoughts etc., but if we sit to see a cinema relayed in television and get broken if any relative or guest or phone call comes. If we, similarly go to church, Temple, mosque, our mind will come to some way of united climate. Similarly the statements, irrespective of religion, gives some sort of solution to our worries. One day, when I move on road with much worried on a matter, I casually noticed a statement on the walls of Church, 'Do not worry, I will be with you'.
Similarly last year I admitted my relative in a hospital at Udupi,, Karnataka State. On that evening I went to Lord Sri Krishna Temple in Udupi, as there was some crowd, I stand in the queue for Darshan with the worry about the patient, I admitted. By that time, I heard a voice from my back, 'sab teek ho jayega'. I suddenly turned but seen some two persons talking themselves but I took their words as Lord Krishna's words to me.

Religion is something that makes us develop faith in certain ways and means and practice them. Many people feel that religion is a way of life. Religion may play an important role in bringing peace of mind. Personally, I experience the same many times. When I got disturbed, I used to go to a temple or sit for some time in the pooja room and meditate so that I will get back my peace of mind.
There are different religions and each religion is having its own way. But ultimately all religions talk about supernatural power only. So religion is a path that you select for your eternal peace. But unnecessarily people from different faiths try to undermine the other religions and that will cause unnecessary friction between the people. If we treat all religions. castes and nationalities equal, there will not be any disputes and we will experience real peace in this world, I feel.

It is said that during the primitive times human beings were fearing the natural calamities and were thinking that there was some power which was doing it. Later the same power was conceived as God. The trend of worshipping started from that time.
Due to emergence of different communities in various places which were far apart, different cultures proliferated during those times. They perceived the power of nature in different forms and had their own deity for worshipping.
Not going in more details about the evolution of human being and emergence of cultures, traditions, and religions, one thing that was common was that people got relaxed after accepting that super power which is managing this big world.
The believers of God claim that after worshipping they get a hidden power from the almighty. There are big take aways from the activities related to worshiping of God.

    Knowledge is power.

We believe in the religion since it offers us some guidelines how we can lead our peaceful lives with the observance of the doctrine laid down there. Certainly it can provide peace if we don't compare the same with other religions since we can note some differences from religion to religion for their ways of interpretations.
If we have the ardent faith in our religion, it can offer us both strength and peace. I believe in my religion so much so that in case of stress, I visit the Ram Krishna temple in my locality to secure peace with Bhajans Sessions conducted there.

The article from Ms. Indu Singh highlights the complex and varied relationship between religion and mental health. While religion can provide a sense of purpose, comfort, and community, its impact on mental health is not uniform and can differ from person to person. It is essential to approach religion with a critical and thoughtful mindset and to be aware of the potential negative effects it can have on mental health, such as anxiety or depression. Seeking professional help is always recommended for anyone experiencing mental health issues, regardless of their religious beliefs or practices.

Overall, the article presents a balanced view of the topic and encourages readers to consider the nuanced relationship between religion and mental health.

Please see the Hierarchy of Mental Well Being according to my perspective!

Infant - Adolescence- Adult- Adultery (Sex) - Art - Compassion - Nature - Spirituality

Spirituality is the highest point one can achieve in a lifetime I guess with the present maturity of my age!

My opinion may differ the next point I publish this article.

Although my experience of life is very less as compared to other authors I feel that religion is primarily a collection, a collection which if used properly by a person, may help him to deal with the struggles of life. The rules, sayings, knowledge, stories, etc given in religion teach us, how to live a right and meaningful life. At the same time, it also teaches us the art of living life happily by creating a balance between relationships, nature, energy, actions, responsibilities, and many more along the path of righteousness. This is a very sensitive topic to discuss because some people connect themselves too much with their religion. Some people who spread riots or negativity in the name of religion may still not be able to face the real form of religion and this is their bad luck. Our religious documents have a lot of knowledge and value and definitely, and we should use them to live a good life.
