Changing CC and points allocation for Jobs section

As part of our efforts to make ISC more and more "Education" and "Admission" oriented, we are reducing the rewards in the Jobs section.

Please see the changes with immediate effect:

    1. There will be no cash credits for Job posts from now on.
    2. Maximum 10 points will be allocated for Job posting, depending on the quality of the content, relevance of information etc.
    3. We do not allow job posts that are not related to colleges/schools/academic sectors
    4. Points from the Jobs section will not be counted for Revenue Share Bonus after the current month. For this month, it will be still counted towards RSB.

This is effective from today mid night. Anything posted before 12am tonight will continue to earn CC as earlier.

We will soon start a "JOBS" section in www.socialvillage.in where we will allow all sorts of job posting.

When a website is dedicated to a niche area then it is obvious that certain modifications and corrections in the existing rules, regulations, and policies for the betterment of the site become necessary and it would also hopefully lead to maximise the advertising revenue for the site.
I welcome the opening of a job section in the social village (sister site) which will help that site to attract more traffic. I am looking at social village site with much hope in view of the activities that it has recently picked up. Adding a job section there will definitely boost it further.
As a member of ISC, I welcome any move which is in the direction of maximizing the earnings for ISC as that will indirectly benefit all of us. Wishing ISC all the best to outstand in the niche area.

Thank you very much Tony sir to inform about the latest changes in the Job section. Though I am not active in the job section, I have observed that most of the members of the ISC family are mostly active in the job section. This change will certainly affect their CC and revenue. But as the webmaster has announced that this site is going to be a true academic site I was expecting this change.

Hope to see the job section at www.socialvillage.in at the earliest so that the members can post the job and earn some CC and revenue share

    Honesty is the best policy.

This decision may useful for all contributors of ISC except Job Section contributors. I mean if points are not counted for Revenue Share Bonus (as mentions in point 4) then what is the value of points ?, it is maximum 10 or 50

We all job section contributors work hard as other sections. We search notification from various sources and contribute on ISC portal. Dues to this , It may effect our labour

Suggestion: ISC Team may reduce number of job posting 15 per day to 10 or less.

Without RSB, points from job section are useless.

As of date, all the top performers are very active in the Jobs section and they are earning much revenue and CC from there only. So we will see some change in the contributions there. Anyhow as you are opening the JOBS section in Social Village, members can try to contribute there so that they will have points and revenue from there. As a member, I can't say this as a good or bad decision. The top people will have their own vision and planning for the growth of the site and accordingly, they may take decisions. It all depends on the vision and planning. As members, we have to go with the decisions and perform ourselves on the site.

    Dear Phagu
Please read serial no. 1 on Tony Sir, He wrote no cash credit...

As an active contributor to the section right from the beginning, this is, frankly, a big disappointment to me as well. It is also a setback not to consider our job posts for RSB. Let us hope that changes like this one are beneficial to ISC as a whole.

I am not a contributor at all to the job section but I personally feel that the suggestion by Phagu regarding reducing the posting limits, may be to even five per day or twenty per week, and considering the points for RSB may be considered. The cc can be lowered for the time being. The difference in the financial burden may be ascertained after some time, say one month, and further action may be taken based on that later. I think that would be fair.

It seems management did not like platinum members as they get 100% adsense revenue. so this decision is being forced to eliminate old members.

Dinesh, let us not jump to such discouraging conclusions. The Webmaster has made a point and he may be having valid reasons to do so. Let us give suggestions and provide inputs and wait for the comments by the Webmaster. I think it is a proposal and not a final decision. Let us not forget that the ISC management has always been open to suggestions and has never backed out of their responsibility of taking the members along.

    Dear All
No CC applied from 15.03.2023 for all job posts.
    @Saji Ganesh
This thread created after final decision of management so applied immediately. No one asked for any suggestions.
    Anyway best of luck

    Hello,

With due respect to all senior members and contributors, the current decision from webmaster seems more sensible and logical. I too was surprised many a times why Tony sir was shying away from this great decision right from my Spiderkerala days (10 years before or so) even though now its too late. ISC being one of India's best study channel should focus on Education and related contents rather than posting other stuffs. Even if the other stuffs may attract more adsense revenue, niche is niche, professionalism is professionalism even though we are late. Welcoming your untimely but need of the hour decision Tony sir. Good luck!
