We all agree that health is very important for us to have a happy life. Many people concentrate on their diet and exercise to have good health. But many of them forget the importance of sleep. We all should remember that sleep is as important for good health as diet and exercise. Good sleep will improve brain performance, mood, and health. If a person is not having enough sleep chances of health problems may be more. Chances of suffering from heart disease, obesity and dementia will be high for such persons.

Many of us think that sleep is a rest time for the brain also. But our brain will be working when we sleep also. When we sleep our brain will prepare us to learn, remember and create. Our sleep will help the brain in removing waste from our brain.

In addition to improving brain function, good quality sleep also plays a crucial role in maintaining a healthy immune system. During sleep, our body produces cytokines, which help fight infections and inflammation. Lack of sleep or poor quality sleep can lower the production of cytokines, making us more vulnerable to illnesses and infections.

Furthermore, getting enough sleep also helps in regulating hormones that control appetite, metabolism, and stress. Chronic sleep deprivation has been linked to an increased risk of obesity, diabetes, and other metabolic disorders. Lack of sleep can also lead to higher levels of the stress hormone cortisol, which can contribute to anxiety, depression, and other mental health problems.

It is recommended that adults should aim for 7-9 hours of sleep each night, while teenagers and children may need more. To promote good quality sleep, it is important to establish a regular sleep schedule, create a relaxing bedtime routine, and ensure a comfortable sleep environment. Limiting caffeine, alcohol, and screen time before bed can also help in promoting better sleep.

In conclusion, sleep is a crucial component of a healthy lifestyle, and its benefits should not be overlooked. By prioritizing good quality sleep along with a healthy diet and regular exercise, we can improve our overall health and well-being.

We are very cautious relating to healthy foods and exercise to maintain our health parameters but unfortunately somehow or the other, we compromise our with the sleep cycles. Due to stressful work or otherwise, it could be as little as three to four hours in a day. The fluctuations of timing to go to bed is one of the causes of poor sleep and hence it is always advisable to follow an uniform pattern to enjoy a sound sleep in the range of seven to eight hours.
Roshan Salim has rightly said that cortisol- the stress hormone is the result of deprivation of sleep causing us tremendous ill effects such as Insomnia, High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Poor Digestion and so on.
Hence in no way, this sleep parameter can be ignored. To improve this pattern, we may resort to yoga and meditation to ease our nerves from the over stress. Other important parameter in connection with restoration of good sleep could be refraining from mobile gadgets and other such apparatus two hours prior to sleep. Ensure that your dinner is almost two hours before retiring to bed so as enjoy the perfect sleep.

There is no substitute for a good sleep. People who get a sound sleep regularly are the luckiest persons on this earth. There are many reasons of not getting a good sleep but the main is the disturbances in one's mind. There are many rich and affluent people who have to take a sleeping pill before going to bed. They are not having a natural sleep. That is a miserable condition.
There are many reasons for disturbed sleep and some of them are our own creation. Whatever it is, one should not waste time in unnecessary activities and go for sleep in time for requisite number of hours. Mental calmness and peace are the main enablers for getting sleep quickly. So, we should not ignore our body signs when we are getting indications of good sleep. If a person is getting a good sleep around 9:00 p.m. but stretches to wake up till 1 a.m. for seeing a movie or some other entertainment then his sleep would be disturbed and it will have an adverse effect not only on the physical health but also on the mental health.

The author is perfect in his point. Nowadays we all changing everything as we wish in the name of modern or any thing. The basic word in human is Roti, Kapda and makhan, means food, cloth and a place for residing are essential to a human. Nowadays as the healthy food is missing, we should worry about proper food and sleep which should be followed by anyone in the right hours.
One of my friend who is in a good position of work use to take food on his own time and spend only a few hours for sleep by saying as he have no time as to work more and he used to spend before computer for more and more hours on work. By sacrificing food and sleep for whom he is earning. In spite of my friendly warning he set aside all of them. Sometimes, he avoid talking to me also. But last month he got piles problem and suffered more.
Similar to that on no account we should avoid sleep at least for six hours in night. It was followed by our elders to have dinner before 7.00 pm, gone to bed earlier and got up from bed in the early morning; they seldom went to hospitals nor consult a doctor. We are all commenting that they are old fools and we are so wise enough to spoiling our health.
Above all we elders, follow a good avoidance in sleeping proper hours due to various reasons, pave the way to children too follow the same. Even in one house, I have seen the husband and wife used to have dinner only by 9.00 pm, go to bed by 11.00 pm daily after watching serials in television. By seeing them, their school going child utilize that hours for watching mobiles and have trouble from getting up in the morning and preparing for school.

Sleeping is essential for human beings. A person should take sleep 6-8 hours per day. We should also take a snap of 15 minutes in the afternoon after lunch. At the time of sleeping our body parts take a rest and refresh themselves to work again.

It is observed that many people do not take proper sleep. They work late at night and also wake up in the early morning. It is not suitable for their health. We should keep in mind that sleep of a minimum of 6 hours is essential in a day. So, we should take proper sleep every day.

    Honesty is the best policy.

The author has rightly said, sleep is very important because it is also a factor that forms the basis of healthy life. Nowadays the routine of people has changed a lot, sometimes because of their job and sometimes because of their lifestyle. Waking up late at night has become normal, sometimes people stay awake for the whole night. People who work night shifts have to stay awake at night due to a lack of options, but at least they should get full sleep during the day, as well as take great care of their food. But those who wake up at night for things like mobile, TV, or parties should understand that you are getting night's sleep as a gift, take advantage of it and move forward in the path of healthy living.
