Over entertainment is as bad as lack of entertainment!

Entertainment is a very important entity in our lives and everyone needs it periodically to get away from the routine work and monotony in life. There are various ways in which one can get oneself entertained and varies from individual to individual. In today's materialistic and commercialised world one can get any sort of enjoyment just by paying some money which of course one should be able to afford.
The periodicity of entertainment may vary from person to person but there should be some gap between the consecutive entertaining events otherwise it will be too heavy a dose for the individual.
Over entertainment is not a good thing for any person because one would become addictive to it and will not be capable of concentrating towards normal work and activities. Entertainment in our life is a must but it should be in a moderated and controlled way so that our normal life is not affected adversely.

The author is right that everything has its limits. With the monotonous nature of our jobs, we might be exhausted and injection of some freshness is required to revive our minds. In such situations, we would like to have togetherness of our closed friends to be entertained so as to revive our lost energies. Even we would like to have some eatery along with our acquaintances.
Whatever we do in the form of entertainment, we might pick up one or two and stretching this limit beyond that could ultimately be boring. Hence entertainment is the essential component in our lives if selected with prudent plannings. For the people working in the IT sectors, they are having two usual offs in a week and they arrange their entertainment for both days uniformly but for the busy doctors, they barely enjoy entertainments because of their duty conditions.

Anything in excess is never advisable. The same is the case with entertainment also. As mentioned by the author lack of entertainment and over-entertainment are never suggested. Some people spend their time on entertainment only. Some people acquire money from their elders and there may not be any necessity for them to earn. Such people may spend their time in entertainment only. At the same time, there are people who struggle 24 X 7 to take care of their families. They will find entertainment in their work only. My uncle (Father's brother) was a schoolteacher. He used to start his day at 5 AM and used to go to bed at 11 PM at night. He never used to spend his time on entertainment. Unfortunately, he died in his 62nd year only.
In our life, we should have sufficient work as well as entertainment also. Spending time with no productivity is never advisable.

It's important to find a balance between entertainment and other important aspects of life, such as work, education, and social relationships. Too much entertainment can lead to neglect of these areas and can have negative consequences, such as decreased productivity, decreased social connections, and addiction to entertainment. On the other hand, a lack of entertainment can lead to boredom, stress, and lack of enjoyment in life.

Therefore, it's important to strive for a healthy balance between entertainment and other areas of life. This means setting boundaries and limits on entertainment consumption, and prioritizing other important areas of life. By finding this balance, we can lead more fulfilling and well-rounded lives.

My entertainment Schedule on daily basis (normal day)!

    1. 9 AM to 10 AM - GYM/Yoga
    2. 7.30 PM to 8.30 PM - Zumba Dance/Cross Fit
    3. 8.45 PM to 10 PM - Any sport (Table Tennis, Cricket or Basket Ball)

The author is perfectly right. Anything even a nectar become poison if consumed beyond a limited dosage. That is what a saying in Tamil as, 'Alavkku minjinaal amirthamum visham'.
If a person seems to be without any entertainment he is company would be very less as many think twice to approach him for anything. If nobody comes to such persons, it may seems to be alright for his working culture but on one situation he trapped bad.
If one indulged himself in total entertainment, he cannot concentrate on his routine and become a great lazy one.
That is what the doctors advises the admitted patients too to have a mild walk after certain stage.
Similarly the schools /colleges also having different periods for different subjects to have an ease of attention.
In one spiritual meeting a speech was organized for three hours but the person who is going to deliver the speech restricted the time into half. He replied the organizers on questioning as 'the concentration would distracted after certain period of time'
Even in hills of worshipping places, we can see some halting places so as to avoid tiredness and keeping in the view that one cannot continuously climb on the hills.

The statement "over entertainment is as bad as lack of entertainment" suggests that both an excess of entertainment and a lack of entertainment can be detrimental to one's well-being. It implies that there is a balance that needs to be maintained when it comes to entertainment.
Too much entertainment can lead to a lack of productivity, social isolation, and even addiction. It can also cause individuals to neglect their responsibilities and obligations, which can have negative consequences on their personal and professional lives.
On the other hand, a lack of entertainment can lead to boredom, stress, and depression. It can also cause individuals to feel disconnected from the world around them, leading to feelings of loneliness and isolation.
Therefore, finding a healthy balance between entertainment and other important aspects of life, such as work, family, and social interactions, is essential for one's well-being.

Service to mankind is service to God.
