Government of Andhra Pradesh launches online portal for School admissions

Government of Andhra Pradesh launches online portal for School admissions under section 12(1)(c) of the Right to Education Act. Launching an online portal for school admissions under section 12(1)(c) of the Right to Education Act will make the admission process more transparent and accessible to all eligible students in Andhra Pradesh. This section of the Act mandates that all private unaided schools must reserve 25% of their seats for children from economically and socially disadvantaged backgrounds.

By providing an online platform for applying for these reserved seats, the government of Andhra Pradesh is making it easier for parents and students to apply and receive the benefits they are entitled to under the Act. This will not only help to ensure that more children have access to quality education, but it will also help to reduce corruption and ensure that the admission process is fair and equitable.

In addition to the online portal, it is also important that the government provides adequate support and resources to help eligible students access these reserved seats. This can include providing information and guidance to parents, as well as providing financial assistance or other resources to help with transportation or other related costs.

Overall, the launch of an online portal for school admissions under section 12(1)(c) of the Right to Education Act is a positive step towards ensuring that all children in Andhra Pradesh have access to quality education, regardless of their socio-economic background. What do you think? Should all states of India launch such educational initiatives?

This is a great initiative taken by the Andhra Pradesh government. I am not sure whether any other state is having such system or not but if they don't have it then Andhra Pradesh model deserves following.
This type of system eventually help the students who are not able to join the costly private institutions as their financial condition is not good to pay the high fees and other expenses required in such places.
Digitization and online governance has helped us in many matters and here also this initiative is going to help the needy people much. Digitised systems are transparent and that is their strength.

    Knowledge is power.

It would be a great move from the government of Andhra Pradesh to launch an online portal for School admissions. We are living in the age of technology and by using online portal parents would be able to admit their children to a school easily. It would also increase the transparency in the government's works and administration also.
    Honesty is the best policy.

We must appreciate the efforts of AP Government taking utmost care of the kids especially belonging to poor families with respect to their admission in the schools. This is purely the digitalisation process and the parents need to fill up the required informations correctly. This is being done to promote education to each and every kids regardless of their status.
This will help arrest corruption which otherwise we could see in the process of admission. Moreover the children would be entitled to other benefits such as transportation, necessary stationery and books and other associated facilities.

It is very good to know that the Andhra Pradesh Government started an online portal for school admissions. But unfortunately, many people from a Village background don't have any idea of using this facility. So they will go to the school in their village and take the help of the HM there and admit their child to that school. It is always better to have online procedures so that transparency will be there.
But I am not seeing any improvement in teaching there in primary and upper primary schools. Another problem there is the involvement of local politicians in all school matters which is making the life of teachers there miserable. The concentration of the teachers there always gets diverted to matters other than teaching because of the interference of these politicians. I know many teachers there and almost all teachers known to me expressed this opinion only.
