    Revenue Sharing Bonus - Change & Trial for April 2023

    Hi all,

    As you are all aware, we are trying to bring some new energy to ISC and part of that, we realigned some of our modules. We are moving away with Ask Experts section. We discontinued contributions to many sections and discourage contributions to many other areas where ISC does not see a bright future.

    We are planning to focus primarily on the Knowledge Center and will continue our Articles section as well as a secondary focus.

    To align our reward distribution to the areas where ISC is planning to focus, as a trial, we are limiting the RSB only to the Knowledge Center for April 2023.

    Also, due to financial constraints and the ongoing reduction in traffic to the site, we are reducing the monthly revenue share bonus to INR 5,000/- per month. We hope to restore this to the earlier amount (10K) as we have better revenue coming in.


    You can continue contributions to other open sections like the Articles section but RSB will only apply to Knowledge Center during April 2023. We may change our strategy in future based on the contribution level and the growth we achieve in this section.

    For the current month (March 2023), RSB will be calculated and distributed as earlier.

    Dear Webmaster,

    Interesting post! In management studies, there is a process called CRASHING. That is bringing all your men & machinery to one particular job (priority area) so that it get completed well before time. I think this is also a CRASHING move from your end focussing to revive IndiaStudyChannel. Wishing you all the best.

    Meanwhile, is there only RSB for Knowledge Centre post? Is it not eligible for regular CC and points.

    Knowledge Center will get cc and points as well, in addition to RSB. You can see the earned CC in the ScoreBoard.

    Thank you very much sir for informing us. Hope that Knowledge centre will flourish the ISC and will attract more visitors as per our desire. I will try to contribute to the knowledge centre more than the other sections of ISC.

    Knowledge centre is going to become main area of action in ISC and many educational topics, questions, queries, and doubts will be cleared there itself. It is obvious that members have also to align themselves for contributing more in the knowledge centre and then contribute in other existing sections also as per the time and efforts which can be spared by a particular member.
    I wish and hope that knowledge centre will attract a lot of visitors as well as cover most of the educational queries so that students and others who are interested in getting concise and correct information at one place will be benefited by it.

    The Scoreboard now includes the Knowledge Centre answers that we submit. However, when I clicked on it, it was showing an error message. Please fix it so that we can see which answers we submitted.

    Changes are inevitable for sustained growth and we should be dynamic these days. Otherwise, we may not grow fast as desired. But the changes should be planned in such a way that we will have positive growth.
    It is the responsibility of all the stakeholders to see that the organisation will grow so that all the stakeholders will also get benefitted.
    ISC think tank might have worked out a strategy and working on those lines. When we are bringing in new changes all the concerned should work in one direction and see that they will not backfire.
    Introducing KC and giving more importance to that section is a step towards the growth of the site. So the proposed experimentation is going to work out well and hopes that the traffic will increase to the site. I welcome these decisions and hope ISC will flourish further. All the best, ISC.

    A few queries-
    1. Can we post any number of Topics on a single day with no maximum limit?
    2. Can we submit answers to any number of queries on a single day with no maximum limit?
    3. Are we permitted to put a few internal links, such as to the college or course page? Is the linking feature available when answering a query?

    My understanding in the matter is so far as under and if anything below is not correct, I would request webmaster, editors, and members to point out that.
    It is understood that any forum post message in the nature of educational query or seeking educational information now should be posted inside the knowledge centre as a topic. Members would post it accordingly there. Only thing is that sometimes new members (actually visitors) also put their queries in Forum or Ask Experts section. Probably they will now not be able to do so or ISC might be shifting that to the knowledge centre and telling them to go there to see the responses.
    It is also understood that general discussions and pinned posts related to contests and announcements will remain in the forum section as usual.
    Article, Institute, and Information update - these sections will remain as it is.
    RSB for April 2023 will be exclusively for Knowledge Centre and for May 2023 onwards ISC would decide after reviewing the April trial.

    When the announcement about introduction and focusing on 'Knowledge Centre' was made, I could not read it in detail and apply my mind on it to find the full gamut of it because for the past many days I am occupied by many other matters.

    But by this thread more light is flashed on the matter. I can find that the new path , new direction and the highlight and focus is becoming more precise, specific and clear. I think it is in the right direction and hope it will succeed.
    Hope the members also get oriented and aligned to the same direction as early as possible.

    With the change of patterns, Knowledge Centre will definitely peak in popularity. Initially there might be resistance of the members to go in the new mode but gradually they will be habituated with the new format.
    In fact, Knowledge Centre in essence would prove to be the storage of knowledge dealing with some many valuable points of the different issues. Such informations would be available in the single platform for the reference purposes of the curious readers to quench their inquisitiveness. Hope ISC will witness more traffic in the time ahead..

    As I am very much new to commend on these. Still would like to say that, I find knowledge center is a great addition to the site.

    I echo the same as Vandana mentioned about addition of few more skills if it helps in growing faster.

    Also recommend to invited old members of ISC who were performing good in past with proper guidlelines. Seen few members coming on the site recently.

    Spreading our referral links to the social media would also be one of the fair extension to the project.

    Utilizing our earning to throw advertisements on other platforms like FB/Google etc could be a better thought.

    Hope to see KC and ISC growing faster in future.
