Constructive conversation needs differences of opinion

People differ in opinion due to variety of factors, including differences in upbringing, cultural background, education, experiences, values, beliefs, and personality. Each person has their own unique perspective and understanding of the world, which influences how they interpret and respond to different situations and issues. Additionally, people often have different priorities and interests, which can shape their opinions and attitudes towards particular topics.
Furthermore, people's opinions can also be influenced by the information they have access to and the sources they trust. In today's digital age, with the abundance of information available at our fingertips, it can be challenging to determine which sources are reliable and trustworthy. This can lead to differences in opinion as people form their views based on the information they believe to be accurate and relevant.
Overall, differences in opinion are a natural and healthy part of human discourse, and they can lead to constructive conversations and new insights. It is essential to approach these differences with an open mind, respect for others' perspectives, and a willingness to listen and learn from each other.

What the author has indicated relating to constructive conversation is correct. We need not loose our patience in case we are encountered with the difference of opinions of otter particles. We have come across the varieties of people loosing their temper in case of difference of opinions of the two parties. They would not like any thing even if the other party has logical points to justify his position.
The situation becomes tensed due to lack of mutual understanding. We could arrive at logical conclusions only if the arguments proceed in the friendly way and both the parties are intelligent enough to appreciate the points raised by them. Constructive conversation is the only solution to ensure that we have reached to the right points ultimately.

    Indu Ma'am,

Nice thread first of all. I can say that it's important to recognize that everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and we should strive to engage in respectful and productive conversations with those who hold differing views. By listening to and learning from others, we can broaden our own understanding and grow as individuals. It's also important to approach conversations with empathy and a willingness to understand where the other person is coming from, even if we don't agree with them. Ultimately, by valuing diverse perspectives and engaging in respectful dialogue, we can work towards a more inclusive and understanding society.

A nice post by the author. Differences will be there because the world is a big place and there are so many cultures, communities, tribes, and societies living in it. Whenever differences are there it is natural that conflicts and confrontations will also be there. What is required is to resolve these conflicts and confrontations through cordial mutual conversations and definitely if we have an open mind and correct approach to the solutions the world will be a very good place and there will be harmony between the different cultures. No one should be adamant in ones own way and the world will be running on those ideologies.

If there is no difference of opinion, the discussion will never be there except for saying "YES" to the proposal. When there is a discussion, many facts will come out. Those facts may make us change our opinion for improvement. Many hidden facts may come out during the discussion. But some people never encourage discussion and they don't want to hear any suggestions. They think that what they know is only correct and final. I have seen such people in Corporates where the top bosses think that they are only correct and they encourage subordinates who always say 'YES' only.
Even in the active GDs conducted by ISC, if there is no difference of opinion and everybody takes one side only means, the GD will not be very attractive and people may not get interested to participate actively in that GD. When you stir vigorously only cream will come out of the buttermilk. Otherwise, the cream will be hidden inside the buttermilk only.

According to me, people are in the differential opinions by person wise and not on their conversation. My elder brother used to say that, ' If we keep a person in good books of our mind, we will tolerate or ignore even they splash some color water on us and sullen when they shower rose water on us if we do not like the person'. Similar to that, we fix some standard in our mind about some persons and will have negative opinion even told a good suggestion.

It can be challenging to change someone's opinion, as personal preferences and biases can be deeply ingrained. For instance, when I was younger, I used to watch cricket matches with my younger brother. He always rooted for the opponents of the Indian team and praised their players, while I supported the Indian team and admired players like Kapil Dev. This often led to disagreements and frustration, as we had differing opinions about the sport and its players. Despite my attempts to persuade him to see things from my perspective, my brother remained steadfast in his beliefs. Over time, I learned to accept his opinions, even if I didn't necessarily agree with them.
