Withdrawing an announcement by seeing strong opposition

There was a story in village side. A man climbed on a coconut tree for stealing coconuts in the
absence of the gardener. After climbing up only he saw the gardener coming into the garden. He afraid on the punishment by the gardener, so he start to climbed down from the tree. The gardener caught hold him and asked what was he doing. This man very simply told by hiding his fear that he climbed on the tree to pick some grass. The gardener asked him how grass would be available on a coconut tree. He simply replied, 'That is what I climbed down'.
Like this many incidents are happening in many places of our country that on seeing serious opposition or criticisms the announcements revoked as mistake done by others.

It is not uncommon for announcements to be withdrawn or retracted if there is significant opposition or if it is discovered that the announcement was made in error. This can happen for various reasons, such as miscommunication, misinterpretation of information, or a change in circumstances.
In such situations, the organization or individual who made the announcement would typically issue a statement clarifying the situation and explaining the reason for the withdrawal or retraction. They may also apologize for any confusion or inconvenience caused by the original announcement.
It is important for organizations and individuals to take responsibility for their actions and to rectify any mistakes or misunderstandings as quickly and transparently as possible. This helps to maintain trust and credibility with stakeholders and the public.

Hasty and impulsive implementation of something without proper study and preparation about the matter may lead to hasty withdrawal of the same in the face of stiff opposition. Immediate withdrawal without making matters worse is at least welcome. But there are many cases when even knowing that what is brought out and implemented is wrong and erratic and there is genuine opposition and resistance, some rulers and authorities try to bulldoze same. Ultimately they will met with failure and may have to retreat wounded and making much damage to others and even the system. This can be true in individual level, organisational/corporate level and at governmental level

What the author has indicated is not unusual, though such happenings are rare in nature. It is not the intention of the government to displease the majority of mass. The public is always taken into confidence for maintaining peace and stability inside the region.
Even if some unwanted change has been implemented causing resentment of the people in majority of areas for such a decision, the authorities would review the earlier stand and if needed, the authorities would revoke the steps taken earlier for maintenance of peace.
Later, they would confess the mistake with some explanations to appease the public in their favour.

A nice post from the author. There are many people who promise something in a hurry and afterwards, they can't fulfil the same and withdraw themselves. So before making any announcement or promise, one should make a thorough study of the whole issue and understand the same. Then the repercussions of that announcement should also be thought about properly and then only an announcement should be made.
KCR, the present Chief Minister of Telangana State announced that if his party wins the election. an SC/ST candidate will be made the CM of the State. But afterwards, he himself became the CM. When a reporter asked him about this, he said that the people of Telangana want him as CM. That is how the announcements and promises will be changed or withdrawn by the politicians also. This is only one example. We can find many such instances.

If a decision is taken that causes resentment among a large section of the population, it is not uncommon for the government to review their stand and take steps to rectify the situation. This may involve revoking the earlier decision or providing explanations to appease the public. However, it is important to note that the government's actions should always be guided by the principles of democracy, justice, and equality. Any decision that violates these principles or goes against the Constitution of the country would be considered unconstitutional and should be avoided.

Overall, it is important for governments to listen to the voices of the people they serve and take steps to address their concerns while upholding the principles of democracy and justice.
