Other activities should be avoided while driving

Yesterday when I went to a place in an auto-rickshaw, I saw a couple in the opposite direction come in a two-wheeler with a child in their midst. I and our auto-rickshaw driver noticed as we were moving very slowly because of the traffic, they were arguing about something while going in the vehicle. The driver told me that they should have avoided such things. But within a gap of minutes, we heard a noise from our backside. We stopped and saw that the two-wheeler of that couple dashed into a car on the opposite side and all three fell on the road with the vehicle. Though they escaped with minor bruising on their hands and legs, the child was shocked and cried loudly.

Though it is common in all places, vehicle drivers should avoid such discussions, arguments or pleasure talking while driving. Though there are rules to avoid speaking on mobile phones while driving people nowadays use earphones instead. If the phone call discussion is much more important than anything, they should stop the vehicle at the roadside and can move after the talk is over. Similarly, couples or lovers can avoid speaking while driving but can sit in a place calmly and move after that.

Concentration and focus on the work are very important. Certain things may not require that much attention. But certain activities are to be performed with utmost care. Driving is one such activity. That is why it is very dangerous to shift our focus from driving. Mainly talking over the phone while driving, arguing with somebody while driving, and driving after drinking alcohol is very dangerous. I never allow my driver to talk on the phone while he is in driving seat.
Cooking is also one such activity. Some ladies will be cooking while talking over the phone. They may hold hot articles without notice as their attention will be on the talk but not on the cooking. When we study also we should concentrate on our studies. In this case, there is no accident issue but we can't understand the topic properly and we may have to read many times to understand.

While driving on the road, we should take utmost care of the traffic. Moreover there should be full concentration on that activity only. But contrary to this, we have seen many drivers and the person next to drivers are engrossed in conversation through mobile phones or even with the drivers. Naturally such an activity could dilute the attention of the drivers. Its outcome might be dangerous to the extent it can lead to fatal accidents for such gross negligence.
In this context, our records with respect to driving is very disappointing with the high rate of accidents and the major cause of the same is attributable to driver's negligence.
Let us make the life safe of the traffic including ourselves.

Other activities should be avoided while driving because they can be a major distraction and increase the risk of accidents. When we engage in other activities while driving, we take our focus away from the road and our surroundings, which can result in delayed reaction time and poor decision-making skills.

Some of the most common activities that should be avoided while driving include using a mobile phone, eating, drinking, grooming, reading, and adjusting the radio or navigation system. These activities require the driver's attention, which can lead to inattention blindness, where the driver misses important information or hazards on the road.

Additionally, distracted driving can lead to severe consequences, such as injury or death, not only for the driver but also for other passengers and pedestrians on the road. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, distracted driving was responsible for approximately 2,800 deaths in the United States in 2018 alone.

Other activities should be avoided while driving to reduce the risk of accidents and ensure the safety of all individuals on the road. Drivers should prioritize their focus on the road and avoid any distractions to maintain their attention and quick reaction time while driving.

You are right. Mostly, accidents happen when the driving person is involved in other activities. For example, a truck struck an auto when people drew near the driver and started to beat him. They found he was listening to music with earbuds in his ears. Some drivers start to talk and then accidents happen. I wonder why some drivers are so senseless; they seem to have no regard for the lives of others. Once, I was travelling in a taxi, and the driver was listening to music at full volume. I asked him to turn it off, but he replied, 'I am driving you; it does not harm you.' This is the response of this community.
Service to mankind is service to God.

Today afternoon I went out. A person on a bike talking over the phone lost his concentration on driving. But never reduced the speed. He went and dashed to a car that is parked on the side of the road. He got his leg broken,.Immediately he was sent to the hospital. He might have avoided the accident if he was not busy with his phone and concentrating on his driving. So the author is very right in his statement.
