World art day included 'Art in the Digital Era,' 'Art and Ecology' and 'Art and Peace'

World Art Day is an international celebration of the fine arts, held annually on April 15th. It was created by the International Association of Art (IAA) in 2011 to promote awareness of the arts and the role that they play in human culture and society.

The date of April 15th was chosen to coincide with the birthday of Leonardo da Vinci, one of the most renowned artists in history. The aim of World Art Day is to encourage people to appreciate and engage with art, and to raise awareness of the importance of art in promoting cultural diversity and understanding.

World Art Day is celebrated around the world with various events, exhibitions, and cultural activities. Many museums and galleries offer free admission or special exhibits on this day, and there are often workshops, lectures, and performances related to art and culture.

The theme of World Art Day varies each year, and it is chosen by the IAA to reflect a specific aspect of art and culture. Previous themes have included "Art in the Digital Era", "Art and Ecology", and "Art and Peace".

World Art Day is a celebration of the arts and their important role in human society. It serves as a reminder of the cultural significance of art, and encourages people to engage with and appreciate the diverse forms of art that exist around the world.

Currently World Art Day has been marked by Merc Foundation.

One of my close friends ( a distant relative also) is a very famous stage artist and singer in Andhra Pradesh. Basically, he is a teacher but his hobbies are acting on stage and also singing. He called me on phone yesterday and he was mentioning about World Art Day. He was having a programme yesterday in the East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh and he was busy yesterday preparing for the same.
In our village also there is a group which is having some artists and they all made some contributions yesterday and conducted a small programme in that village on this occasion.
