Forum is now restricted to Education related topics only

    Hi everyone,

As part of our strategic shift towards a true education portal, we no longer allow non-education topics in the forum or in any other sections of ISC.

You can still post questions related to ISC itself.

Politics, religion, drugs, movies - they are all a big "NO". We will be using SocialVillage.in as a platform for such topics.

SocialVillage is still in the budding stage and a lot of features and revenue-sharing programs are yet to be developed there. While that work is in progress, we are limiting posts in ISC to education/admission/campus/students/courses/colleges/schools/study - related topics only.

Finally, with all these proposed changes ISC will become a true educational portal and will be very beneficial for a student as well as a person to know more about unknown subjects. It is an education for all. Hope ISC will be the top site for education-related topics in India and all the viewers and other stakeholders will get benefitted because of these changes. I think controversies will go away and all members may be on the same wavelength.

    Oh ok! Tony Sir!
    That's an exciting announcement!

I have already posted a few topics related to sports and other genres today before seeing this announcement. Hope our account won't get affected due to this. If there is an option to delete those posts should we delete our posts? or the editors would take care of this point?

Please also update us on this point.

With the latest introduction of knowledge centre, we can see a lot of changes giving us an impression that this section is promoting true knowledge directed to the benefits of student- community. Even the members of this site need to strengthen this site for the benefits of entire pupils to enhance their knowledge skills.
The members will be tuned to this wavelength in the upcoming time certainly.

It is a relevant announcement by the Web Master on his path to make the site more relevant and profitable in a competitive sector. It is his prerogative to bring any changes he feels will make the site better.

As already stated by me on a few earlier occasions in the forum, changes are unavoidable in a dynamic system. It is like a moving bus. There will be people boarding and de-boarding at different points on the way depending on their itinerary. A few, however, will be travelling from starting place to the final destination. In such travel, the passengers may feel the shocks, jerks, and shakes along the way as per the road and vehicle conditions and vehicle navigations. But every passenger will have to bear with it until he reaches his own planned destinations. Only when the conditions become totally uncomfortable and inimical, the passenger may break or cut short his travel by that bus and may get down and may board a better vehicle suited to his conditions and comforts.

ISC is also like that. It has to necessarily undergo changes as per its business vision and goal. Those who can easily adjust and align with the changes may continue and those who cannot cope may leave at their own time. But there will be new people boarding also. It is just as simple and clear as that. Let us see how we best can orient, adapt and adjust ourselves. There is a definite choice and that is in our hands.

But as a business ISC has the right to make necessary changes it feels will keep the site more attractive and generate more revenue. We have to admit that.

    Dear Tony Sir,

A welcome move. This strategic shift by ISC is a positive development for students and educators who are looking for a dedicated education portal. By limiting the content to education-related topics, users can focus on finding the information they need without getting distracted by non-essential content. This move may also help ISC attract more users who are interested in education and contribute to the growth of the platform.

Overall, this change demonstrates ISC's commitment to providing high-quality education content and its willingness to adapt to changing user needs. Wish you all the best!

Slowly and slowly we are moving towards making ISC a true educational niche site and this move is welcome as further concrete measure for the same. It is obvious that members will also have to change their focus and content contributions according. All the best.

Venkiteswaran sir, the policy has been implemented with immediate effect but since it is the initial stage, it has been decided to allow general threads, other than threads on politics, religion, drugs, movies, health etc for the time being. The idea is to promote threads and topics related to academics/ education and the management has planned to execute the transition gradually, but it won't take much time to come to a full circle.
