Can we reply for the posts or articles which are not approved?

    Dear Editors,

I know it is different login timings for everyone. And everyone takes their own available time to post their thoughts, articles etc. Same for me, sometimes when I log in I found many articles, posts etc are not approved or moderated.

So my query is, Can we reply for the posts or articles which are not approved?

Second one is, Can we post in any sections like entertainment/sports? What if we post messages, info related to entertainment/sports but those are not related to education.? Because it is mentioned in announcement that all posts should be education related.

    Geeta,

Answering your second query first, it is exactly as you understood. The instructions are clear regarding topics to be raised in the forum, articles to be submitted, and KC topics, namely that only education-related ones should be submitted.

Regarding the first query, if you wish to submit a comment to an article, you need to wait till it is approved. Same with a KC topic. In the case of a forum thread, you need not wait till it is approved since forum threads automatically are considered approved, and an editor will only enhance the points if they are worthy, delete if not education-related as per the new forum submission policy, delete if spam, etc. So as a responder, each member is responsible to check what has been posted before submitting a response otherwise time and effort will be wasted, since if the thread is deleted, your response will get deleted along with it.

Note that we do not allow copied content so if this is detected, your response will definitely be deleted by a forum editor even if the thread topic is education-related and valid for a discussion.

Thank you Vandana for a detailed response! Now it's much clear.

There were many occassions where we write posts and check the same on online copy checking websites like plagiarism checking sites. We find alomost 100% genuine content and after posting on ISC it becomes copied content, like one post happened for me ( Shahid Kapoor as like john wick). I checked this articles for more than 6 times and got 100% genuine. But when posted here on ISC it didn't approve. May be some other reason not aware of.

Another query is , rather it's request that whenever our posts got deleted / rejected or not published please send us a notification/mail so we will come to know the reason/info directly in our mail box. Otherwise we have to look for the reasons all here and there all over ISC.

I normally subscribe for all my posts, I am getting notifications for every new responses but not getting any mail/notification for rejected/deleted/pending posts.

Hope editors/webmaster would take a note and help us growing faster.

Last query - why my account showing (-7) points today?

Geeta, firstly, editors do not delete any post as copied without confirming that the posts are wholly or partially copied. We may give some leverage to beginners in the initial days if some part is copied and we usually send them a message to be careful. But if such actions are repeated or appear to be intentional, we generally delete them.

Secondly, I agree that it would be better if we get notifications about the change in the status of the posts but there seems to be some technical issue due to which some alerts are not being notified. We had requested the Webmaster to look into the issue but it might take some time. We will remind him about the same once again. In the meanwhile, you may (actually you should) keep a track of all your posts and note the developments.

Thirdly, which account are you talking about? It would be better if you could be specific and clear with your queries so that we can try to help you out. If you are talking about the total points/cc in your dashboard, it may happen when some posts are deleted/ points or cc are reduced after editing. Please recalculate your points and cash balance and check once again.
