Tourist spots need drastic improvements
There are too many tourist spots in India. There are too many temples that have become big tourist spots as well. For example, there are nine temples called the Navagraha temples near Kanchipuram, near Chennai. Yet, there are few tourist operators who operate private vans at these places at reasonable prices. There should be Government buses to connect these temples. Similarly, private operators should be encouraged to set up good but small vegetarian hotels near each of these temples, that provide good food at reasonable prices. Once this happens, there is bound to be some development or the other near the temples.
And when the tourists come, there is bound to be some demand for reasonably good medical facilities as well. The trick is to equip Government hospitals with some private sector help for infrastructure improvement. The police should have some information facilities to direct the tourists to the Government hospitals for any medical help if required.
Similarly, the Government should also initiate action to develop parks and so on near the tourist spots, so that the tourists can relax in such parks, and enable the children to enjoy the maximum. The local vendors can sell their small food products and earn some money, by catering to the local tastes of the region.
