Present-generation students are having many avenues to learn

When I was in primary school, I used to hear stories from my parents, grandparents and teachers. The only source of information is their words only. I used to have a slate and a slate pencil. Slowly as I grow and went to higher classes also the source of information was the newspaper only. Even Radio is also very rare those days. We used to know what is happening around only through the newspaper only.

If we see the students these days, they have multiple avenues to get information. They need not depend on elders for getting news and information. The internet made a big difference. Smartphones brought the world into their hands. These are very useful to them and if they utilise them properly they will get excellent knowledge. As long as the students use them properly, it will be very beneficial to them.

Yes, it's true that present-generation students have many avenues to learn. With advancements in technology and the internet, students now have access to various learning resources, including online courses, educational websites, and digital libraries.

One of the most significant advantages of technology in education is that it has made learning accessible to everyone, regardless of their location and financial status. Students from all over the world can access the same learning materials and resources as those attending prestigious institutions.

Online courses and e-learning platforms offer students flexibility in terms of learning pace and schedule. They can learn at their own pace and from anywhere, which has enabled many individuals to pursue education while working or taking care of family responsibilities.

Moreover, digital libraries and educational websites provide students with a wealth of knowledge, from academic journals and research papers to multimedia resources such as videos and podcasts. These resources are often free and easily accessible, allowing students to access knowledge beyond what is provided in their textbooks.

In summary, the present generation of students has access to numerous learning avenues, and it's up to them to make the most of these resources to enhance their education and knowledge.

Yes, what the author has stated in his postings is absolutely correct. I have had the similar experience that the only source of information in my class one to class three classes remained confined to the class sessions and whatever the teachers had spoken was in my note book. These notes served the purpose of memorising for the examination but later our information channels multiplied manifold with our independence of newspapers, radios and other children magazines such as Chandamama, Parag, Dharmyug, Balak etc covering different features for children. In our times both Parag and Chandamama enjoyed wide circulation because of liking of the children. Then after attaining adolescence, our liking patterns changed with the inclusion of reading Hindi Newspapers such as Hindustan, Aryavartth etc because of guidance of our teachers. In school, prior to first session of the classes, there was the session of newspaper reading where the pupils would read news at a stretch of 15 minutes after the announcement of the name of reader by the teacher. Newspaper reading was the essential part but the participant was changeable every day. This was the test of ascertaining the reading abilities of the pupils.

Indeed, the sources of information have changed significantly over the years, and today's students have access to a vast amount of information through various means. While it is true that the internet and smartphones have made a wealth of information available to students, it is also important to note that not all information is accurate or reliable.

Therefore, it is crucial that students learn to use these tools effectively and develop critical thinking skills to evaluate the information they receive. Teachers and parents also play an important role in guiding students on how to use technology and the internet responsibly and safely.

Moreover, despite the availability of information, there is still a need for human interaction and guidance, particularly in the case of young learners. Elders, teachers and other adults can provide context and deeper insights into the information that students encounter, as well as impart values and moral principles.

In conclusion, while the availability of information has increased dramatically with the advent of technology, it is still important for students to have the guidance of responsible adults to navigate the vast sea of information and make sense of it in a meaningful way.
