Importance of education in human lives

Today most of us believe that education is for a career and earning a livelihood. It may be true to a great extent. We are all aware that many people without any basic education are also able to make money and live a very happy life.

There are many other uses of education. Every human being will have some wisdom and it may increase over a period of time. But when an issue comes into our lives, a person who is having education may be able to find answers to the issue better than others. Education will support the wisdom of a person in taking a better decision.

Education helps a person in developing critical skills like decision-making, problem-solving, and logical thinking. This will make the person take a better decision even in critical situations also. I like to know the views of other members.

What the author has stated is not the departure of the truth. Achieving anything with sufficient exposure in a field might make a man proficient in their working activities but for the men acquiring relevant qualifications in the same field would further enhance skills of the men concerned because of applications of such tools in their working fields. However, it is not necessary that the men not connected with any qualification for the specific fields may not be successful.
I have had a very exciting experience of a Management Training Administration who joined SAIL with the post graduation in History and was assigned the post as an executive trainee in the store department and later was transferred in the purchase department with the promotion even beyond the term due to his exceptional abilities. During his stint in the SAIL, he rose to the level of Executive Director within 15 years because of his exceptional skills in solving the problems of the areas assigned to him. Possession of a degree of History did not hinder him to arrive at the right solutions. This indicates that qualification is an important tool for achieving success with their rational analysis of the situations despite the fact it is not connected with his working areas.

Education is an essential element for our mental growth and it is only the education that makes us a complete human being and provides thinking and analytical power. It is not that only the formal education will achieve this objective. In fact in old times there was no formal education but the students learnt a great deal from their mentors (saints) in the Ashrams.
    Knowledge is power.

Education is a crucial aspect of human development and has a significant impact on various dimensions of an individual's life. The three dimensions of human development you mentioned, physical, mental, and spiritual development, can indeed benefit from education in different ways.

Physical Development: Education can play a crucial role in physical development by promoting healthy habits such as regular exercise, healthy eating, and personal hygiene. Education on health-related topics can help individuals understand the importance of physical fitness, good nutrition, and the risks associated with unhealthy behaviors such as smoking, drug abuse, and excessive alcohol consumption. Additionally, physical education classes can help individuals develop their motor skills and coordination, which are important for overall physical development.

Mental Development: Education also plays a vital role in mental development. Education can provide individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complexities of the world around them, including critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making. Education can also help individuals develop social and emotional skills, such as empathy, self-awareness, and communication, which are essential for healthy relationships and overall mental well-being.

Spiritual Development: Education can also contribute to spiritual development by providing individuals with the knowledge and understanding of different religions, philosophies, and spiritual practices. Education can promote spiritual growth by encouraging individuals to explore their beliefs and values, and to develop a sense of purpose and meaning in life. Additionally, education can help individuals develop the virtues of compassion, kindness, and gratitude, which are essential for spiritual growth.

In conclusion, education is indeed necessary for physical, mental, and spiritual development. By providing individuals with the knowledge, skills, and values necessary for healthy living, education can promote overall well-being and contribute to a fulfilling and meaningful life.

Service to mankind is service to God.

As a parent, I strongly believe that education plays a crucial role in shaping the lives of our children. Education is not just about acquiring knowledge and skills, but it also helps in developing a well-rounded personality, building character, and shaping their future.

Education helps children in understanding the world around them, broadening their perspectives, and enhancing their creativity and critical thinking abilities. It provides a strong foundation for their personal and professional growth, enabling them to pursue their dreams and aspirations. It also equips them with the necessary skills to face challenges and overcome obstacles in their lives.

Furthermore, education fosters socialization and helps children in developing their interpersonal and communication skills. It instills the values of respect, empathy, and tolerance, and promotes the idea of social responsibility and community involvement.

As a parent, I strongly believe that providing quality education to our children is not just our responsibility but also a privilege. It is our duty to provide them with the best possible education, which will enable them to achieve their full potential and become responsible and contributing members of society.

Hence, ducation is an essential aspect of human lives, and as parents, we must recognize its importance and ensure that our children receive the best possible education to build a bright and promising future.

By keeping this view in mind our earlier Tamil Nadu Chief Minister K.Kamaraj introduced Compulsory school Education for children by making a promulgation of free education. Subsequently he offered free noon meal in schools to avoid the absence of children based on food problem. M. G. Ramachandran later chief Minister of Tamilnadu continued this Noon Meal Scheme during his rulings and present DMK government is also following this. These are the steps taken by the State Government to reiterate the importance of education. Once the children put on the educational track in the tender age, the importance of education for human life stressed in their minds.
For this the parents should keep in their mind that they should never force their children in the activities other than education in the tender age and they may follow the other activities after primary education is over.
    I read a story:
A Father of a Church once saw an abandoned child at the entrance of a Church and he patron the child and on attaining certain age offered him odd jobs like striking the bell etc., to him. After the death of that Father, a new head took charge of the Church and asked all persons in the Church those who are not having certain level of education. Accordingly, this boy driven out as he was not educated. He wandered on roads and with huge hunger he approached a tea stall found in the outskirts. That man offered him some food and support him by giving some odd jobs. In due course this boy learned some work in the stall and helped him a lot. On attaining age, the tea shop owner, as have no children, left the shop to him and died. This boy become owner of the shop and developed the shop into a Motel. One day a rich man came there for eating and found the owner man have all his earned cash in a box. He suggested to keep all the cash into a bank of the nearest area. On his concurrence the rich man took him to the bank and the bank manager gave him a form to get filled in. The shop owner told he was not educated to that extent. Manager told him, 'Sir if you have educated to some extent, you would earn more money than this.'. This man replied calmly, 'Sir, you are correct! But if educated to that extent, I would be in the same church by striking bell'.
