Professional institutes must collaborate with industrial organizations

Core competencies in the educational field refer to the skills and technologies that the college should give importance to. In fact, several branded colleges of Tamil Nadu, particularly Chennai, like the Sairam Engineering College, invest a lot of money in encouraging the students to come up with some innovation or the other and even partly sponsor, in collaboration with industries, their trips abroad to present their innovations in some international conference.

When this happens, the college starts to develop a reputation that is unmatched and then the college starts developing as a brand. There should be regular interaction with the related industries to bring about such changes. Having professional and technical interactions and exchanges between colleges and industries will help in opening new vistas for the students and they will stand benefited. The UGC, the AICTE and the concerned Technological State Universities should initiate this process.

The same is the situation in AP and Telangana also. There are many colleges and no student is ready to join such colleges. No campus interviews. No qualified full time faculty and no proper infrastructure. What is the use of getting a degree from such colleges. The degree may be just a decoration only.
But definitely there are excellent colleges like CBIT, KLU and GITAM, where importance is given to value addition to the student. They may be charging higher fees but they are training the students properly and encouraging them. Many such institutes are interacting with industry and trying to provide internship for students in those industries which is helping students to get hands on experience. Some colleges are ensuring 100% placement also.
The contacts with industry will ensure better skill development avenues to the students.

I strongly believe that dialogue with industrial organizations is crucial for the growth and development of our society. It is through this dialogue that we can identify the needs and challenges of the industrial sector and work together to find solutions. Industrial organizations play a vital role in the economy and the overall development of our country. Their success translates into job creation, technological advancements, and better standards of living. Therefore, it is in our best interest to maintain an open and productive dialogue with these organizations. Through dialogue, we can learn from each other, share our experiences, and find ways to collaborate and innovate. It is only through collaboration that we can overcome the challenges of our time and create a brighter future for ourselves and generations to come.

If the proper efforts are made from the promoters of the institutions to raise their standards, it would certainly work in raising the standards of the aspirants. At present, we are surrounded with a lot of Engineering Colleges especially in Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Orissa, AP etc where their promoters try their best to woo the admission seekers by going through advertisements or even they visit the prominent towns of their states to attract the pupils but still then the results are disappointing.
Taking admission in such institutions would amount to loss of time for the pupils and money wastage since such institutions lack the facilities of campus interviews through the employers.
The college management in their starting phase made huge money but now the situation has reversed.
To remedy this, the promoters need to make concerted efforts with the infusion of upgraded technological skills through allowing the students to various industries to benefit them from the present trends in their streams they have opted for. The other parameters in this direction are excellent teaching faculties taking care of growth of students and allowing the students for exchange of their ideas through the professors for the better clarity of their subjects.
Collaboration of the institutions with the industrial organisations would certainly help both mutually.
