Community support to Government educational institutions is essential
The people at the rock bottom of the economic pyramid have only the Government institutions to fall back upon. However, many schools and colleges need to be refurbished and it is in this situation that community help for such institutions is vital and very essential. For example, can't a rich dealer of cement, who makes a good profit every month, donate fifty bags of cement for constructing an additional classroom in the village school that is nearby? Can't the local rich contribute funds that will help the cause?
How about community support in the form of computers and even smart classrooms? The Alumni are often well-settled abroad and they can help too. We need the local district collectors to regularly have dialogue with the local big business people and ensure that the Government institutions can be far better places to study and learn, for the children of the poor.
