After acquiring some academic qualification should one wait for a good job endlessly?

Some certificate and diploma courses have better job potential than that simple UG/PG/Ph.D. academic qualifications. The jobs obtained after doing some specific certificate or diploma course may not provide a job with higher remuneration but it will be at least a temporary phase for earning and making one's livelihood. Once the person gets experience in a particular area then one can try to switch to greener pastures.

What is your view and opinion about this? Should a person after acquiring some academic qualification wait for a good job endlessly or for the time being do some certificate and diploma course to get a job immediately, however small it is?

Considering the present situation, the aspirants would do better if they could exploit the job market so as to have their prospects for their employments in any one of the vacant positions. Thinking straight way for the jobs for which they have acquired professional skills might take unpredictable times. Hence the best way would be vigilant of the market opportunities providing them employment and at the same time, they should not be idle since that will impact them both financially and mentally.
Hence alertness is required in all levels.

This is a matter best left to the person. I know a person who left the job he was doing and appeared for the Indian Administrative Service examination. He was successful in his second attempt. He belongs to a lower-middle-class family. His family supported him and now he enjoys a good position.

There is no specific rule or regulation for this, I think. The decision of going for additional certifications or trying for a job with the existing qualification is to be taken by the individual based on the position of the individual at that moment.
A person who wants to get a job will concentrate on obtaining a job and simultaneously pursue some skill-oriented courses. Thrust will be given to get a job as the job is required immediately. A financially sound person who gets on for some time even without a job may give weightage to get skill-oriented courses.
There are people who aim at a job and wait till they get that job and never compromise and join a job other than their dream job.
Considering the present-day situation, getting a job is very important. So after graduation concentrating on acquiring skill-oriented certifications is more important than doing PGs and PhDs.

A small correction to the author, I wish to raise. There is no good job or bad job to any one according to me as any job is good or bad only up to the taking of the subjected person. Tedious job with good money return leads to one from restlessness in his or her life. Without utilization of the earned money, what is the use of earning? We are seeing many people working in a same organization or company or even shops for years together and also noticing many persons quitting their jobs from even big and notary companies. One author of Personnel Management book told that,' No resignation is because of the establishment but from manager or himself'.
We may take the author's view on the other side. If a man studied law and can resign his present post for entering into the field of pleading. An Accountant can raise himself as an Auditor after his acquiring CA.

I would say that waiting endlessly for a good job after acquiring academic qualifications is not the most effective strategy for a successful career. It's important to be proactive in your job search and take steps to increase your employability.

One of the best ways to increase your chances of finding a good job is to gain relevant work experience while you're still studying. This can be done through internships, part-time jobs, or volunteer work. It not only helps you gain practical skills but also makes you more attractive to potential employers.

Networking is another important aspect of finding a good job. Attend career fairs, join professional organizations, and connect with alumni or industry professionals on social media platforms like LinkedIn. These connections can help you learn about job openings and put you in touch with potential employers.

It's also important to keep yourself updated on industry trends and requirements. Stay informed about emerging technologies, skills, and certifications that are in demand in your field. This can help you stay ahead of the curve and make yourself more marketable.

Be flexible in your job search. Consider opportunities outside your immediate area of interest or look for jobs in different geographical locations. Don't limit yourself to a specific industry or job title, as there may be other opportunities that could be a good fit for your skills and interests.

Hence, it's important to be proactive, network, stay informed, and be flexible in your job search to increase your chances of finding a good job. Waiting endlessly for the perfect job may not be the most effective strategy for career success.
