    Season of summer camps started

During our childhood days, we used to wait for summer holidays. We used to go to our grandfather's house and enjoy holidays with our grandparents. Then the summer holidays are for fun and play.

A week back our granddaughters came from Bangalore. They started going to summer camp at a nearby school. It is for 4 hours in the morning daily. The teachers are training the students in some activities. Dancing, Painting, drawing etc. are being taught based on the interest of the individual. The children are allowed to play for some time. Thus they are utilising the summer vacation for learning some skills. I think many parents are admitting their kids to these camps and training them in the art the child likes.

I think it is a good way of utilising the summer holidays. What are your ideas?

There was a time when holidays were only for idling and fun. Today the situation is drastically changed and due to severe competition everywhere people want to learn more skills and acquire them for making a successful career in a particular area.
So many coaching centers provide special classes on a variety of creative and skill-acquiring activities and there is a good rush in the students to go for them.
So the Summer holidays are now there for learning something new.

    Knowledge is power.

The recent development of the kids enrolled in schools are very much appreciated. The school management has realised the importance of summer camps where in the school authorities ensure that the pupils get the essential training in other activities as well apart from their normal activities.
The best part of such training is that they might pursue their careers in this field if they find any such activities for which they are trained quite appealing to them. In that situation, they might change their career - path in the field of dancing, music, cricket etc if the teachers in these fields provide them training creating sustained motivation in any of such activities.
