Students should not waste their time in such activities

Today there are many platforms like YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, etc where people are uploading short videos or reels and these are becoming very popular and have got a good viewership. Certainly, they provide good entertainment to their viewers.
Many students and young people are addicted to uploading short videos on these sites and spend a lot of time on that activity. This may to some extent interfere with their studies and create hindrances in their academic growth.
In my opinion, students should not waste their time like that and even if they want to do it then it should be limited to say once a month or like that.

Whatever the activity, we see many people getting glued to their cell phones and spending a lot of time on social media. I think it is a waste of time only. These days of competition and everywhere we see more people and fewer chances. So all young people should think about how they can utilise their time in the best possible way. They should concentrate on acquiring new skills so that they will have better employment chances.
More than children, their parents should think about the future of their children and they should stop spending time on a cell phone so that they can warn the next generation. Otherwise, they can't stop this waste of time. But some people are becoming experts in video making and they may be earning good amounts. But such a success percentage is very less and we should think of that as a way of earning.

The present market setup and advertisement industries try to grab everyone's attention to watch them. It's true that social media has bad impacts on students' studies and not only on them but also on all professionals. We could see everyone going to offices also never would be seen without spending time on mobile phones. Social media has both positive and negative impacts on students' study lives. Furthermore, here is my detailed explanation of the impact of social media on students' studies.

It is rather a good advice from the side of the author to the pupils. They need to concentrate on their studies to the maximum extent possible so as to achieve their full clarity of the subject. However we can see that a lot of students are getting diverted from their current studies due to their involvements in Facebook, Instagram, YouTube etc for their entertainment purposes. If such is the casual approach, it might not create any hindrance in their study plans.
Currently, we see the mode of questions in the competitive examinations are of different natures requiring through revisions of the text - books and other supplementary books. Simply going through the syllabus is not enough but they need full understandings of the contents. In such a situation, their full attention to their studies will ensure their success in their missions.

Some years back many students participated in politics and the politicians used the college student unions as their tool. Then chief minister K. Kamaraj strictly told students to stay away from politics and to concentrate in the studies. Now the trend turns to fb whatsapp etc., Students should avoid these activities instead they can utilise the gadgets for improving their studies
