Too much pressure on children will lead to health problems

We are seeing heavy competition these days everywhere and in every field. Some of the parents want their children to score a cent per cent in all the subjects. They are not happy even if their wards score 99%. This wish of the parents is becoming a threat to their children. I have seen many parents, who pressurise their children to study and never allow them even a small time for playing etc.

Children are not finding any time to relax, The stress they are experiencing because of heavy competition and added to that pressure from their parents is another curse to them. All this tension makes them sometimes mentally unbalanced also. We are many health problems also in school-going children.

Parents should understand this issue and see that their children will not get sick and allow them some free time also.

It is really a very good suggestion from the author's side reminding us of taking proper care of our kids to keep them relaxed. The kids are facing huge pressure of their course apart from constant demand of teachers to complete the assignments as given by the different teachers. It is a continuous assignment and there is no escape from this burden. Here there is no end of putting the kids in the overstressed conditions, there are weekly and monthly tests for all the subjects and the progress reports are to signed by the parents to make them aware of the progress of the wards.
The ultimate effect is that there are sometimes adverse effects on their healths. The parents should take a note of this and steps are to be taken from their end to keep them relaxed with their regular sessions. The parents must teach their kids to keep their wards in the balanced states with their periodical advice.

It is a very good thread and I appreciate the author raising this thread. Too much pressure is not good for any person. It will cause health issues and sometimes cause depression. I have also found that there is competition between parents, not between students. This problem is found in the lower classes.

It is necessary to get some time for relaxation for the students. School timetables are so designed that they should have a couple of periods for games and other activities. So, it is essential for the benefit of students that they should study in a normal conditions without any pressure.

    Honesty is the best policy.

The author dragged a good thread which is need of the hour. Many parents, I am not criticizing but telling the fact running in every house today, parents in order to get themselves free, letting their children into so many activities besides their studies. This really makes them to tired easily and even diverted their mind from studies which is basic to them. In our days our mother asked us when returning from school first to wash our legs and hands, change the uniform dress, to eat some snacks or food with coffee or tea or milk and then asked us to proceed to tuition. This was really made up our mind relaxed. I saw in one house, the mother asked her child immediately on returning from home, to get ready for tuition without giving any break.
This easily make the minds and body tired in the children and sometimes they start agitating.

This is a thought-provoking thread and, indeed, students should not be forced to study more than their limit of mental stability. It is also a fact that students should study till they can grasp the matter. Once they are overloaded and tired they should take a break and divert their mind to normal activities where stress and strain is not there.
Parents have to take care of this thing and watch the students carefully to avoid any such overburdening. Everything has to be done within limits and studying is not an exception.

    Knowledge is power.
