    Story: A true character!

In a class, there were two kids named Raghu and Ramu who were avid rivals in games and other competitions. Both have strong morals and are charitable, but Ramu dislikes Raghu, his rival, and vice versa.

As tough rivals in every department, Raghu and Ramu exhibit some hostility towards one another. While everyone in the class was asking their teacher questions, study sessions were held in the evening in an open space. To get clarification on a poem written by Sumathi Satakam that was about how your excellent character will improve when you serve your opponent, Raghu went to the teacher.

After study hours were over, a crazed dog barged onto the property. Everyone fled into the open space, and some jumped out of the walls to save others in need. The mad dog was behind everyone and hurting the student, Ramu as he struggled to climb the wall in order to save from the mad dog. Raghu aided those who were having trouble climbing the wall. Raghu is a little hesitant to aid Ramu, but he instantly recalls the poem Sumathi Sathakam, which in the opinion of his professors, immediately helped Ramu in climbing the wall and saved him from the dog.

Ramu understood the value of getting along with everyone and avoiding conflicts.

A nice story and good learning that we have to help each other and progress ahead. These things are great learning for a lifetime if learned in the student's school life itself.
    Knowledge is power.

A very good story with a good moral. We may have competitors in our lives. We should not treat them as enemies. If a strong competitor is there, we will be more beneficial. When a necessity arises to the other we should extend our cooperation to the other person but we should not think of him as our enemy and allow him to suffer. Tomorrow we may face a similar situation and the other person may have to help us. That is the moral we learn from this story. It is not a great thing to help a person who helped us earlier. But helping a person when he is in need even though he refused to help us earlier is what can be called magnanimity. A few people only will have this quality.
In our Indian poetry, there are many poems which convey a very good message to us and help us to know what we should do and what we should not do. During our school studies, we learned many of such poems.

Thanks God Raghu learned a lot from the poem Sumathi Sathakam and his inner instinct inspired him to save the life of his rival Ramu. He immediately acted in that direction and Ramu was saved miraculously. Every lesson taught in the class is meaningful.
