One aspect is least discussed in this educational site

IndiaStudyChannel has been converted into a fully educational website. All education-related issues are welcome and are discussed threadbare in this site. The experienced members have accordingly started posting contents on academics-related points. The site is converting itself surely.

However, as a useless member of this new site, I think that no member is taking up for discussion a good academics-related area. Nowadays, India has been producing many businessmen/industrialists/ traders who have networth in hundreds of crores. These super-riches have less academically-inclined children. But those riches want their children to possess foreign degree. So, they try to send their children even in third-grade foreign universities to acquire 'foren' degree.

I think this branch (in academics) has immense potential. I would suggest that some members of ISC may study a little bit and start writing extensively how to take admission in third-grade foreign universities, the cost involved and how to get degree from those universities at high cost. The Indian super-riches are ready to pay astronomical amount for 'foren' education of their worthless children.

This is only a suggestion for the members.

Very funny, Partha! Why don't you bell the cat and write about those which you consider third-grade 'foren' universities? Then others will be duly enlightened about their third-grade status and will be wary of them. It would be akin to alerting students about not taking admission for courses to colleges in India that are not UGC-approved.

I think such people will never worry about the reviews or information on the website. They go to a consultant and pay him money so that his ward will get admission without any problems. These consultants also will never deceive such people because they can earn a lot of money through such people. Mainly, people who want to go to quality institutes and avail loans etc, will be careful and gather maximum information about the institutes they are looking for.
Money can make anything happen. This society also believes in such people only. That is why today we are seeing a big unruly nature in many people whose fathers are very very rich.

As a response to the comments made by Vandana Madam (which I have taken with all seriousness), I am now mentioning the worst universities of the US, where anyone can get any degree provided the student can spend US dollars. These universities are:

    University of Montevallo
    University of South Carolina
    Grambling State University
    Florida Memorial University
    Waldorf University
    St. Augustine's University
    Black Hills State University
    Nazarene Bible College
    Stratford University
    The University of Maine
    DeVry University
    Coppin State University

I hope the names of the above twelve universities which are considered the worst universities of the US, will do for the present. I have the entire list.

The guardians who can spend money (oof, dollar!), can purchase 'foren' degrees for their children from these universities.

For the complete list of the worst US universities, please contact Partha K.

Partha, your purely 'academic' thread on Rs2000 currency not got a good discussion. So people are discussing academic matters.

Now a few months back I saw a You Tube clip made by a net news portal " Marunadan Malayali" on the matter of su grade colleges and universities. That was mostly about universities in UK and how our parents and students just fall victims to verbose and ads and without doing home work land on such institutions and then suffer a lot financially and academically. The promise of part time job along with studies also become lines drawn on water due to many practical issues. The journalist editor was advising parents and students to study at local colleges and universities than wasting time and money on such low grade universities and colleges.

There are indeed ordinary and below-standard universities around the world. Some people are attracted to them thinking that as they are foreign universities those would be very good. But after completing the course from there they will know the truth. The rich would never mind getting degrees from such places because some of them might not be able to get admission to good universities abroad. Anyway, an ordinary person from our country should be careful in selecting a university abroad because either he would be spending the hard-earned money of his parents or taking a loan from the bank.
