The complexity of a course unfolds when we start learning it

Many people want to undertake some course for increasing their knowledge and learn a new subject. It could be for the rise in one's career also. It could also be for selecting an optional paper in apex competitive administrative examinations in our country.
Whatever the case the complexity and massiveness of the course is known only after starting to learn it. Every course has its width and length and people sometimes are not able to continue and leave it halfway.
Have you ever experienced any such thing in your life? Or observed it happening with someone? Please share your views on this.

I did not study Geology till my PG. After doing my PG I got a teaching job which I continued for 3 years. After that, I got an opportunity to work in the oil and gas industry and then there was a need of learning Geology. I started learning it by self-study and went through the basic ideas. Then I tried learning other advance concepts. That learning was very helpful for me during my tenure in the upstream oil and gas exploration sector.

The complexity of a course gradually unfolds as we embark on the journey of learning. Initially, the subject may seem approachable, with its basic concepts and introductory material appearing straightforward. However, as we delve deeper into the curriculum, we begin to encounter layers of intricacy and nuance that demand our attention and intellectual effort. The more we immerse ourselves in the subject matter, the more we realize the interconnections and dependencies that shape its complexity. Concepts that initially seemed clear-cut now reveal their multifaceted nature, requiring us to adopt a more comprehensive and analytical perspective. As we grapple with complex theories, intricate problem-solving techniques, and the wealth of information to absorb, we realize that true mastery of the course requires continuous exploration, critical thinking, and perseverance. Ultimately, it is through navigating this unfolding complexity that we gain a profound understanding and appreciation for the subject at hand.

The complexity of the work also will be known only when we start implementing and attending to the work. In Telugu, there is a saying which means that the depth of water in a pond will be known only when we get into that pond only.
When we hear or read about a subject we will understand about the subject. Definitely the levels of complexity in cases as you go on advance in studies in a particular subject. When we hear about a subject our concept may be different but once we start learning the same we will understand the subject and we will get better knowledge in that subject. But the student should pursue and see that he is not missing any points in the subject.
Some students think that some subjects are easy and some are difficult. Again this is a point that varies from student to student.
