Which type of books are best for grasping?

In our childhood, there were only one type of book, that is a physical book printed on paper. But with the sudden rise of technology and electronics boom, there came the entry of "E-books".

Now, technology has moved even faster in the COVID pandemic era. And we the have option of audio books/video books. In the past audiobooks, option was made available for blind students so that students can hear and understand the topic. This was considered to be an option faster than braille books. But with the growing technology, audiobooks are used widely by not only blind students but also by people who have time limitations to read physical books or e-books. Audio books facilitate users to hear books on the go while jogging or driving or while travelling in crowded trains/buses.

In your opinion, considering the involvement of the reader/listener, which book type is best for grasping?

For grasping a subject elementary book is required. They can be in physical form or ebook form or any other audio-visual form.
Old people are much more comfortable with physical books but the new generation today is equally comfortable with physical or ebook forms.

    Knowledge is power.

Each type of book is having its own convenience. Carrying an ebook is easy and less weight makes you comfortable carrying it. But physical books are easy to refer back to. Audiobooks are very comfortable as only our ears work. But even today I feel the physical book is a better format. We can go back to any page and refer easily if we want. Referring back to an ebook is very difficult. But we can go back to any page we wanted to read in the physical format. But these days many young people feel very comfortable with other formats I feel.

I think it is the grasping power and interest of the person that is more important than the type of book that matters. Some people can grasp things better through visuals, good listeners grasp things better when they hear someone speak and then there are people who understand things well when they read through something. So, basically, it is your interest and mindset that matters. But then, there are some other factors also like convenience, availability and so on that also needs to be considered. In my opinion, reading a physical book creating the audio in your mind and visualizing what you are reading would be a better and effective option.

Everything depends upon passion and interest of the person concerned. There are many people comfortable when they listen to the entire texts if someone is speaking aloud. They can tell you the immediately the entire contents which they have grasped in such listening sessions. Even in our student lives, I have seen some of colleagues asking his friends to speak aloud the texts before them so that they can cram up the materials.
However, the essential factor for the grasping any material easily calls for total concentration on the topic to be crammed up. Of course, passion, too, is the important part which can speed up our comprehension of what is to be remembered.

Book lovers never differentiate the type of books. The main thing is the cost involved in it. I dragged to read books through a website as attracted as 'free'. But when I crossed three or four volumes they asked me to buy some coins by paying certain amount to read further. Since the book which I read found very interesting I paid and read. But it is not affordable for me in all times, so I dropped that matter.
But earlier I used by a lot of magazines and monthly novels in Tamil for reading. But after a certain period, I got introduced by a friend of mine to a public library where from I can read many books in many topics. I used to spend more time there whenever I find time to read.

If a reader has developed a passion of reading in any area of his interest, they can nurture their knowledge even being the members of some noted libraries of their areas with the minimum monthly subscriptions. If we examine the cost of books, buying of such books would push the monthly budgets of families beyond unmanageable. However our passion can be achieved by being members of local libraries having lot of books of our interests.
Grasping would not be any issue because of our intense passion for reading books of our niche areas.
